It's the only one I have liked from them. As far as their new stuff goes that is. Smokahontas is probably my all time favorite song from them. That song still goes!

For sure one of their best, OMAM and then The Flood were two banger albums back to back

This song along with the others that’s start with “The” on this album weren’t originally released with the album but we’re added when the cleans vocalist left the band and they released a deluxe edition.

OM&M - The Flood was always miles above the rest when it comes to metalcore IMO, I honestly think it's a record with a bit in there for everyone of different tastes and backgrounds -- especially once you throw in the four tracks from the reissue (which take the album's two best strengths: that atmospheric ambience and the light deathcore-influence and just amp both right up). Impeccable writing in terms of lyrics and instrumentals (insane drums and rhythm, strong melody infused in the background, those crushing bass drops) -- and the production, they went balls-to-the-wall on the mixing for this album -- which is crazy because the mixing in metalcore (especially from the Rise Records crop) has always been a major low point, IMO, just comparing this album to their debut (which, I actually enjoyed the literary themes of that album a bit more), it's not hard to see why they blew up in that time period. Austin had a very distinct and individual vocal style (which is more my speed as a fan of bands w/ filthy vocalists like Eyehategod and Meth Drinker and a lil' bit of Nirvana's early/back catalogue) that make the band stand out even more, especially when bouncing off Shayley's cleans. It's a shame they went downhill from here in my own personal opinion, and while I don't hate the direction Pauley has taken the band (especially with the last few EPs), it's personally a far cry from where they were back in the day. I also feel for as big as they got in their heyday, a lot of people still slept on them because of the assumption that they were as bland musically as a lot of the cookie-cutter label-plant bands they were associated with.

You should probably check out Paleface-Curse Us. It's beat down metal at it's finest! It's got the heavies, chugs and then more heavies with a side of heavies. Swedish metal band

If you've never heard "BURN VICTIM " by Methwitch. I highly recommend it, intense and heavy, with a breakdown and insane screams, sadly no blegh. First listen will be memorable. Bed of snakes is also a great one. Also, Methwitch is made by 1 guy.
