I get the traditional aspect of the stadium but it makes no sense playing on a neutral field 3-4 hours from both schools.

100% agree. It would be a bit of an advantage for Columbus area teams but the Old Crew Stadium is perfect for this. 2 or 2 1/2 drive at most for any team in Ohio. If the Stadium became the annual destination, they could add some High HOF area in the retail area inside.
