Pitcher or catcher getting bent out of shape when bases are stolen. It's nothing personal. You want to do the best at winning and your opponent is doing his best to win. Baseball seems to be a bit superstitious, hocus-pocus. LOL I love baseball!

Lol very stitious if you ask me! In college ball we had specific hand gestures to 1. Keep us in the game mentally, and 2. Because we believed it would help us win (oh and it DID). HA

I'm new to baseball and the unwritten rule makes zero sense to me. If the team is up by a large margin, shouldn't the batter try to take every swing possible to try to end the game quicker? To just end their opponent's misery asap. If it's a 3-0 count and the batter swings and misses, will the opponent still be mad? It's not the swinging but the home run that makes them mad, very hypocritical rule

Unwritten rules are so nebulous, how about spelling it out what the so-called unwritten rules are. Throwing a 40mph pitch can’t end up well, so why throw one?
