Ordered mine yesterday. If it’s good enough to put in an aircraft, it’s good enough for me.👍👍👏🏻👏🏻

I’m from the east, will this product be safe from all the mud and water we run through?

I see this is for 2017-2021 models. Will it not work on the 2023 model?

Does the valve loosen up over time? I can feed the hose up through the skid and use it to open the valve no problem, but the hose does not lock onto the valve no matter how hard I try to push on the hose and rotate. I have to reach up inside and and forcefully rotate the hose at the metal connector to get the hose to lock on.

So drown mode eliminates the need to also drain the smaller plug going to the filter housing?

Yep, you got it.

Will you be releasing a drain valve / valves for the 2024 Maverick R?

Seems like a long time to crank the engine with basically no oil in it. Plus why wouldn’t you pull the second plug?
@curtisvalves1944 Жыл бұрын
Its not an issue. The Rotax equiped Seadoo's (including those using the same Ace 900 as X3) have been using the drown mode method for decades to perform their oil change service. Pulling the secondary drain plug is not necessary if users follow the method described in this video, unless they are adamant to drain the last few ounces. The method used in the video will drain 3.5 quarts. The X3 Rotax Ace 900 has a total engine oil capacity of 3.7 quarts.

Just want to clarify that you don’t pull the 10mm plug when doing it this way?
@curtisvalves1944 Жыл бұрын
That is correct. All of the oil will drain through the valve.
@thelifeoffastony11579 ай бұрын
I do the same process except for the second drown oil start.. i don't even remove the second 10mm plug... 2oz of oil still remaining in engine mixing with 3.5 qt isn't gonna make a huge huge difference... Plus I do oil change twice a season, Here in Vegas we only have six months of riding time. From late October to late April.

Flood mode doesnt work on my X3. Could be because of having it tuned
@curtisvalves19448 ай бұрын
Jerry, we have had a few customers report not having drown mode due to aftermarket tunes. We do have bulletins on our website prior to checkout advising our customers to verify drown mode has been retained if they have aftermarket ECU tuning. The majority of aftermarket tunes do retain drown mode, and a couple also require pressing the brake and throttle simultaneously. I have moved the advisory from the middle, to the top of our KZbin video descriptions as well.

This ignores the smaller drain plug. I see where you are using "drown mode" but is that really an adequate alternative to draining the smaller plug?
@curtisvalves1944 Жыл бұрын
Our process drains all but a very small amount (4-5 fl oz) of used oil. In terms of being adequate, 96% of the oil is exchanged. You could shorten your interval by 4% to account for this. Rather than the standard 1000 miles and 100 hours, service your machine at 960 miles and 96 hours. Or 480 miles and 48 hours for extreme conditions. How often do you change your oil?

@@curtisvalves1944 Thank you for the reply. This looks like a great system. I have spent more than this on funnels that still make a mess.

@@williamm2219 Thanks for your interest and you asked a great question. I'm sure it will be useful to others as well. We put a lot of effort into designing this system for the X3 and incorporating all of our aerospace design, testing, and manufacturing techniques. After 2 years of brutal field testing all over North America, we have a product we are proud to offer!

It seems like it would be hard on the motor cranking that much without basically no oil in it.
