Oil change of a Range Rover Sport 5.0 L SC - the old fashioned way

Many people now change their oil with a vacuum pump that sucks the oil out rather than draining through the bottom drain plug. This is how your dealer would do it so they don't get their hands dirty. However, if you don't have that pump you can still get under the vehicle and drain it the old fashioned way. Its not hard but you will have to remove the remove the protective cover from under the engine. These cars are designed to be off roaders so that bottom skid plate is substantial. In this video I show you how to do an oil change without any special equipment.

Mine i did old way aswell... But the 13mm bolts were on solid.. Had to heat them up to remove.

timing chain issue effected a select range of VINs. You can check which. Its best to look at that list rather than refer to model year.
