How To: Install a new wick in an oil lamp burner

I'm here because my Kosmos 14 burner has been sitting and the wick is too stiff even after sitting overnight. Any suggestions?

Where did you get those new manufactured burners? I want to buy some.

Gaudard in france. We get them nickel plated after we receive them . may be some retailers in 🇺🇸 but they will be raw brass colored

could you please do housecalls because my antique ones... it doesnt work, it gets stuck somehow. Got five of them only one works :-(

I have a central oil draft with no identifying marks. The old wick was stuck in the lamp. I had to pull the wick out. The old wick was 2 5/8 inches wide.

So the company I buy my Kosmos wicks from says you shouldn't ever use the wick adjuster to install the wick.

There is no way to not use the wick adjuster and get the wick through.
