Hi, I'd say he is using Viridian, Ultramarine blue,Burnt Sienna and a touch of white to give it a middle distance tonal difference. 👍

I almost completely agree. I saw a Russian guy using one and he was so good with it you couldn't even tell he used one. But usually it's a crutch and the paintings done completely with a knife are so easily spotted they stand out like a sore thumb.
