How To check your BMW oil level using iDrive

some people are so ignorant, everybody knows how to check a dipstick but this car doesnt have one so you have to use the idrive,so shutup about it already!

Hello!! I have a question!! The engine shaped thing has only one green line at the bottom doesnt it shows fully green in whole thing till the top even when engine level is high?

the oil level is in the i drive system you have to find it in the menu there is no dipstick

Facepalm to all the idiots who says new bmw comes with the dipstick. Sadly they removed it so you wont be able to service the vehicle yourself. Another money making scheme by automotive industry

Why does it only show the virtual dipstick when the engine is running? How can it possible give an accurate reading while the engine is runnng?

apparently neither the 335i or 335d have a dipsick. I don't see how this solves that. Although it tells you the oil level as a fraction, there is still no way of knowing exactly how much to put in, and overfilling is a big problem. You get the sense that the reason BMW did it was to give you no choice but to pay them a huge amount of money to do it everytime :/

the way I check my oil is .first I unlock the door and open it .then I bend down and look for the button to open the hood .then I pull up the dipstick in check the level .and I can do that faster than the time it takes for you to program .the computer
