I hadn't heard of environmental stress cracking as a term, but have definitely seen it in the wild before, and just lacked a word for it. That's cool that it can be used to help with cutting down polycarbonate stock so easily! Have you any idea how much using this brief exposure affects it's strength long-term after the isopropyl alcohol evaporates?

After the solvent has vaporized, one component of the ESC is no more there. However, there will definitely be very small cracks all over the place. Wkat is their impact on strength? I have no idea.

@@FinnoUgricMachining You've done well minimizing the further stresses on the polycarbonate, so it'll likely outlive us both at this point. I'd never thought to use loctite as a gasket material either. At this point I'm not sure if I'm here for your intros with Lumi or the deep well of good ideas you've just got as your obvious best methods. You do the term "greybeard" proud for sure!

Hallo Finno, super Idee 👌 Ich hätte eine Frage, wie hast Du den Punkt ermittelt auf welcher höhe das Öl stehen muss? Die Mitte der Skala? Videozeit 01:02:45. Könntest Du bitte mal das Maß messen von Unterkante des grünen Kastens (Drehzahlverstellergehäuse) bis zum Ölstand bei 500ml. Das wäre sehr nett von Dir. Gruß aus Deutschland

In diesem Fall liegt der Ölstand über dem Durchschnittsniveau. Etwa 3/4 des Skalenendwerts. Bei Dreharbeiten sinkt der Wert ab, da sich das Öl im Getriebe verteilt.

Hallo, danke für deine Antwort. Halte doch bitte mal ein Zollstock bei ausgeschalteter Drehbank von der Unterkante des grünen Kastens bis zum Ölstand im Schauglas. Wieviel mm sind das?

@@petergottschalk6730 Der Ölstand liegt 55 - 56 Zentimeter (550 - 560 mm) vom unteren Rand entfernt.
