Portrait or Figure painting its such a surreal experience, it is like the painter and the person being portraited are going in another dimension even more with that kind of music. Beautiful.

The next generation will speak your name. I do not like the way 98% of artist build up. But I like your paint application. When I get much more consistent sales I will reach you.

Thank you so much for this upload Scott. What a beautiful piece. Any chance you could do a video discussing how you go about laying the thick paint?

That’s amazing! Did you finish the first part in one sitting? I was also wondering if you were using thinned down paint for the first one.

This guy's style is reminiscent of that French painter - William-Adolphe Bouguereau. Has he undertaken a big artwork? If not, he should. A big historical piece. Or a Night Watchmen-esque sorta thing. (Maybe not as huge as that but just as ambitious.) And he should sell it online for $10 million. He won't sell it for that amount but the work will no doubt be excellent and it'll generate a buzz. His viruosity will be celebrated. Just my 2 cents.

Mesmerizing! Caught a glimpse of your palette, perhaps you can show that on a 3rd simultaneous frame down the line.

Thus, the process already seems more realistic to me. First a sketch is needed, then a phased approximation until the right tones and light are found. Anyone who only sees the highly edited videos that swarm on KZbin will believe that the exact shapes and colors appear by magic. And nothing is further from the truth. I hate videos that try to convey an idea of ease. Videos that omit changing or cleaning brushes, for example. A layman who knows nothing about painting will be misled and judge that the artist is a sorcerer, who instead of paints and brushes, uses a magic wand and has supernatural gifts. Which is nothing but a big lie.
