Hi I’m a newbie in oil pastel, and I noticed that you use different brand of oil pastels sometimes. Is there any reason for this? Are they probably used differently? Which brand would you use for a newbie? Thank you, your video really inspired me to start painting too 😊

Hi, I mostly use Kuelox and Mungyo. Both have good color selections, and both are good for color mixing/blending on paper. The most difference is the texture of Mungyo is a little bit hander, so good for fine line drawing. Kuelox is softer, better for using painting knife. You can use painting knife with Mungyo too, just not as easy as Kuelox. Hope this helps~
