Oil Tank Fire Protection/How to Get it Right!

Rob and the boys have seen too many oil tank installations lately where the fire protection has been installed incorrectly. Today we show you the fire protection that we use, that has been approved by OFTEC, and how to install it correctly.

Yes your correct either 30 mins or 1 hour fire protection to conform with regs. Space depending, you can get bigger brackets for the fireboards to hold better. Great work though

Great video! Fire protection is one thing! When you can persuade farmers to not put tanks on pallets next to the house, would a great start! Maybe another approach would be educate/persuade fuel distribution companies to not fill non compliant tanks! Ironically, my local fuel supplier in Dundee, Scotland stocks Atlantis tanks and fire guards! Have a great weekend Ruaridh.

Ah, a new addition to the Team!!....Isabel(necessary on a bicycle?), great to have you onboard Izzy. You’ll be a fantastic asset & you’re joining not too soon either. Karen needs a hand to control the ‘terrible twins’, you’ve no idea what they get up to when Rob is away polishing his ‘but crack’. Nice legs by the way Rob, the last time I seen legs like that there was a Message tied to one!!! Perhaps Izzy needs some insight to the terrible twin’s shenanigans, they stole an AGA, there’s probably some OAP, sitting freezing, wondering when they’ll be back with it. One likes a swift Pint down the Boozers - on the fly. Both leave their tools at customers’ houses, so they can nip back & chat up the customers or their fit daughters. Great video. I've only done fire protection once before. Had to use something slightly different, but definitely will look into this kit next time. I don't think I'm that far from you. I'm in Wicken, cambs.
