HP2 is excellent, i expect similar results from the scheaffers the next time they get tested.

No Hp2 in our little town but there was bel-ray hr1 so I got some of that. I've got a fresh oem top end on my 55 husky so I'm going to run a gallon through it and check it and see how it does. I'm guessing it will look good but we will see just buckin up firewood. Good stuff I love testing it makes us better understand what the good stuff is! See ya next time!

H1R is also great, i have run almost all of the oils i have on hand in my personal equipment. This is just my first time documenting it all. Due to how frequently i take things apart I'm not scared of any of the bike oils, even castor based lubricants. Would i recommend a castor 2 stroke oil to someone else? That depends on their situation!

HP2 is what I run in my Stihl saws @ 40:1 and it does very well. Rocky Mountain ATV ran a sale on it recently for $10.99 a 16oz bottle.

Nother good one👍🏻 just a thought that popped in my head while watching, maby to increase point of contact accuracy with the thermal probe, drill a small dimple in top of cylinder with a corresponding hole in shroud to stick probe through and stick probe in one of the muffler or deflector screw heads🤷🏻‍♂️ absolutely no criticism intended. Just sharing a thought!

Also if you haven't already picked it out, could the "debris" in the spark plug gap be sealant? I've seen silicone get packed in a plug in a Neotec ncs2500.

It could be but i doubt it, it was more hard and crusty. And i like the dimple idea so i will do that, thanks!

I watched a video just yesterday a guy took apart a husky that was in heavy use daily (logger) anyhow I think he said motul oil was used and it carboned up the piston and exhaust extremely bad , it was quite interesting to view when he took it apart, and I think he said something like 600 hours of use something like that.

That is Jake Mesa, he is ASE certified and a pretty sharp dude when it comes to mechanical stuff. He is a logger and has a 100% different operating condition than these tests. Lots of idle and throttle variation which build lots of carbon quickly in a two stroke. If he says H1-R is the best i wouldn't disregard that info. Not many other folks with that kind of run time on their equipment.
