There's nights like these that create an illusion that the oilers are a two man team, but if you look at the stats, the oilers have over eleven 10 goal scorers. This night's L is strictly on defence and goaltending. The Knights took advantage of the many defensive holes that we oilers fans thought we had filled.

Skinner is a young talented goaltender. Two years ago Phillip Grubauer was a free agent to sign a long term contract the avalanche didn't want making with him. So he signed in Seattle and the kraken with him in the goal eliminated the avalanche in the first playoff round. Grubauer would have been the ideal goaltender for the Oilers with his experiences with his fantastic goaltending in playoffs. And the young skinners would have been the perfect backup learning from gruuuu... But the Oilers overviewd him.

I've said it on other videos; If McDavid can't carry his own line, the Oilers aren't going to win. Draisaitl in the LA series produced as many goals 5 on 5 away from McDavid as he did with them. McDavid away from Draisaitl had 1 point and his lines generated 2 goals versus 5 against. It's why Draisaitl is currently +5 and McDavid is even.
