There's life underground... I feel it all around, I feel it in my bones, My life is on the line, When I'm away from home. When I step out the door, The jungle is alive... I do not trust my ears, I don't believe my eyes. I will not fall in love, I cannot risk the bet, Cause hearts are fragile toys, So easy to forget. It's just another day, There's murder in the air... It drags me when I walk, I smell it everywhere. It's just another day, Where people cling to light, To drive away the fear, That comes with every night... It's just another- It's just another day... It's just another day, It's just another day... It's just another- It's just another day... It's just another day, It's just another day... It's just another day, When people wake from dreams, With voices in their ears, That will not go away... I had a dream last night, The world was set on fire. And everywhere I ran, There wasn't any water... The temperature increased, The sky was crimson red, The clouds turned into smoke, And everyone was dead. But there's a smile on my face, For everyone... There's a golden coin, That reflects the sun... There's a lonely place, That's always cold... There's a place in the stars, For when you get old. Oh... Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh... It's just another- It's just another day... It's just another It's just another day... Oh... There's razors in my bed, That come out late at night. They always disappear, Before the morning light! I'm dreaming again, Of life underground... It doesn't ever move, It doesn't make a sound. And just when I think That things are in their place, The heavens are secure, The whole thing explodes in my face! It's just another- It's just another day... It's just another day, It's just another day... It's just another- It's just another day... It's just another day, It's just another day... There's a smile on my face, For everyone... There's a golden coin, That reflects the sun... There's a lonely place, That's always cold... There's a place in the stars, For when you get old. Just another, just another, just another day... Just another, just another, just another day... Oh...

This song was during the Cold War in the 80s under Regan presidency Known as Star Wars . This is talking about living with nuclear fears everyday you wake up. What an awesome song what a time the 80s were everything was just coming into its own Internet MTV cell phones what a time to be alive was there saw and experienced it .

Yes, "Everybody want's to rule the world" was also written during the Cold War. Part of the reason I love both songs. They're both very thought provoking.

living in fear isn't living with freedom. Wtf are our soldiers dying for abroad?! seriously, the citizens deserve to know. soldiers were citizens, brothers, someone's kids, or best friend. -j from my wife's KZbin with her permission of course☮️🎶😢

the only cell phones in the 80's were what Gordon Gecko used in the movie Wall Street. it wasn't a 'Smartphone'. Oingo Boingo's War Again is more relavent to modern times. ''Out kids are ....but we got smart....what a joyess thing we got smart....'' -oingo boingo's song War Again. it points out the absurdity of wars in general. the song was not about any recent wars, just the start of them. it was about that Gulf War that one was a ''pre-planned'' war since the 1970's to ''sell more weapons''-Carol Rossin's Witness Testimony written in the book Unacknowledged: An Expose (eks.poh.zay.) On The World's Greatest Secret by Steven M. Greer. get your book today. ☮️🎶 -j in southern Japan from my ''wife's'' KZbin with my ''wife's'' permission of course.

Look I know that this was written about the Cold War, but I honestly think that it could apply to global warming and the California Wildfires/Droughts as well, with the lyrics “I had a dream last night/The world was set on fire/And everywhere I ran, there wasn’t any water/The temperature increased/The sky was crimson red/I gazed into the smoke/And everyone was dead”. If that isn’t a scary description of that situation, I don’t know what is.

this is a good song. "i will not fall in love, i cannot risk the bet cause hearts make fragile toys, so easy to forget. 🎶" only in the full length version of Just Another Day by Oingo Boingo. 🎶☮️🖖🎶 it's just another day when people wake from dreams with voices in their heads that will not go away!🎶☮️ does Danny Elfman have schizophrenia? cause that seems like audio hallucinations or earworms. Plus he sings about hallucinations in other songs. and he wrote Solfeggio Schizophana. 🎶 that uses a lot of dischordant Sounds.

Anybody here think they predicted the climate crisis before it was a thing? I mean, just look at the lyrics: I had a dream last night/The world was set on fire/And everywhere I ran/There wasn’t any water/The temperature increased/The sky was crimson red/I ran into the smoke/And everyone was dead.” My god. If that doesn’t describe the wildfires and droughts that California/Australia has had, I don’t know what does.

More likely it was evocative of living under the threat of nuclear annihilation for a couple of decades at that point. It's one of the reasons for the nihilism and materialism of my generation and it reached it's peak in the late 1980s. I honestly figured we'd all be radioactive charcoal after a nuclear exchange long before we ever got to 2022.

There's a place in stars for a union. Sorry, i used to an English teacher. Old habits die hard for Christmas. i wonder if Danny Elfman has Schizophrenia. He makes a lot of references to hallucinations in his songs. And then there's that Solfeggia Schizophrana.

I don’t think he has schizophrenia, just ADHD. But maybe he carries the schizophrenia gene and if he had a more abusive upbringing he would be schizophrenic.
