@PastorJS1 We must rightly divide the Word. Romans was written to the church at Rome, meaning those that had already obeyed the gospel. Romans wasn't written to tell us how to be saved, but as with the rest of the Eptls., how that salvation should play out in our lives. As far as Acts 2:21, indeed we have to call upon the name of the Lord, and later in the same chapter, Peter tells them how to do so...(Acts 2:38) May we both grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ!

@PastorJS1 When were the disciples saved? Luk 22:32 But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren. "When thou art converted"...Yes, the Holy Ghost fell, but then they were immediately baptized in Jesus' Name. Later, when Paul found "disciples" that were baptized into John's baptism, he rebaptized them.

@PastorJS1 Judas was one of the 12, would you say he was saved? Indeed, both John and Jesus preached repentance, just as Peter did in the 2nd chapter of Acts. After he preached the gospel, those that believed asked "what shall we do"...repent, be baptized in the name of Jesus, be filled with the Holy Ghost. If believing was enough, why didn't he just say so?

@sower770 All Epistles are written to the Churches. And one must know the whole counsel of GOD. Repentance ,justification. sanctification Propitiation,Redemption Condemnation, just to name a few of the component of said salvation. One cannot gloss over a truth to make a point not proven. JESUS the Author of salvation Told the Apostoples what to do Mat 28:18-20. Mrk 16:16-20. Lk 24:46-49. He who is The Word Speaks for Himself. Hear ye Him!

The Evangelist Deacon Philip said to the Chamberlain of Ethiopia " If thou Believeth thou mayest Be Baptized. The Eunech replied " I Believe"! Now if u refer to the easy believeism of this day where u just repeat the socalled sinners prayer? Then You are right that is not enough. the fear of the LZORD is the Beginning of wisdom. Just like the Disciples were. Surely u r not saying the disciples were not saved until the pentecost. Read Jhn 18-17 Chps. The As Of God promote Holiness of heart above the gifts. These sign shall follow them that BELieve/Obey/Trust. not lead or define but Follow. Mk 16:16.

6:12...you should point out that in the KJV Bible that the word unknown is italics which means it WAS NOT in the original Greek....that is important

Water baptism has not saving power the saved Ie the discoples baptized those that were filled after the Holy Ghost fell. there is no scrip that say that 12 were rebaptized (water) not even by JESUS>

What they fail to admit is that it all resulted in an acknowledgement of Acts 2:38...repent, be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and being filled with the Holy Ghost. The AOG (Assemblies of God) ended up rejecting baptism in Jesus' Name. The truth pressed on though, through the PAW and then UPCI.

And in acts 2 :8 JESUS told HIS disciples "You shall RECIEVE/Grasp Power/dunamis/Exousia after that the HOLY SPIRIT shall have come upon You! all. All water Baptisms In the Bible are post salvational experiences. As for Belief RMNs 6 says Abraham believed GOD and it was Inputed/Reckoned unto Him for Righteousness/Justifcation! u are born again at Pentecost if u obeyed Peter in Acts2:38. because that is the water and Spirit Jesus spoke about in Jon 3:1-8 John 3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. (John 3:7 KJV) Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. so u could say that one is not saved until that happens. Because Jesus is the one that did say it. agree?

there is only one pattern followed in the bible to be born again, that is Acts2:38, verse 40 that follows commands "Save yourselves" there is no other water and Spirit pattern found in the bible pastor if u make the mistake of not following the apostles examples , u will b on the wrong side come judgement no apostle or disciple in the bible ever baptized by ma 28 :19, titles of God. all were baptized in Jesus name. it was only after nicea that people were baptized catholic from ma 28:19
