OK I'M SURPRISED | New Makeup & Skincare | ILIA, Dr. Ceuracle, Iris & Romeo, Surratt, Phytosurgence

11 HOUR WEAR TEST - Day into date night, dinner, and a concert BASE - I am actually so happy with how the ILIA Stick and the Iris & Romeo Concealer wore. The skin got dewier through the night, which is normal for my combo skin type, but it didn't break up or get cakey throughout the day. It faded but in a natural way that just looked like my skin. CHEEKS - Iris & Romeo Blush did fade around hour 8, but luckily it didn't get greasy or break up my other makeup. The Surratt highlighter was long-lasting because it does set down and doesn't stay dewy. Overall the skin looked about as good as I could hope for after a long night. EYES - Iris & Romeo Mascara was unfortunately very flaky on me by the end of the night. The mascara crumbled on my cheeks and I was surprised how many bits were scattered on my face. I may give it one more try under less intense circumstances. I have oily eyelids so the Phytosurgence eyeshadow did crease on me a bit by the end of the night, which is not surprising because I didn't use an eyeshadow primer or glitter glue. I am familiar with the formula and I know it would be longer-lasting if I had used the right prep and maybe powdered. Still, I love the shades so much and I don't mind a slightly grungy look. There aren't really any cream eyeshadows that don't crease on me, so it's not a knock on Phytosurgence IMO. LIPS - The ILIA Lip Sketch is a real winner! The lip liner lasted through dinner, even greasy foods, though I did need a touch up in the center of my lips after eating and drinking. It was easy to reapply and truly weightless on the lips, and kiss-proof once it's set down. I don't think it's hydrating, per se, but very very comfortable on the lips.

The phytosurgence shades are WILD. I’m a cool leaning neutral gal and the cooler tones like mellow mycelium are TOO cool for me on my eyes and then the warmer golds perform more like actual neutrals on my skin.

I like the ILIA stick, but agree with you about the shade range. I found a perfect match but I am fair skinned. I do find it that whilst you can build it without creasing it doesn't increase the coverage.

Complexion looks great! Also I could not sharpen the ILIA lip sketch sticks across 3 different sharpeners. Seems you have to get their own proprietary sharpener.
