Dimash , apart from his insane talent, has the most wonderful colour/timber of voice. It's angelic even in his powerful moments. I remember some years back listening to him singing with his parents who are both beautiful singers, and was enjoying their vocals but Dimash comes in and its a whole different world. He's stunning. In his self depreciated way he will say 10% talent 90% hard work. Yep it is hard work and he has worked so hard, but this man is vocally blessed. Some things are gifts and I'm so glad he, his family, teachers, coaches recognised it and nurtured it. Stunning. Lots of love from Ireland 🇮🇪 ❤️❤️

He is known to have extra long vocal cords. His voice sounds very similar to his mother’s voice. So likely an inherited trait. But then being born into a professional musical family, his talent was recognized and nurtured. Then add his perfectionist personality that drives him to always improve. The perfect storm to create such a unique and magical talent. Then the fact that he is a genuinely kind, funny, humble, and moral person is why we all love him so much! ❤️

I never get tired of watching this video. Not only is Dimash beyond amazing, but you also have to give credit to the orchestra and the background singers. I know it's hard to hear anything but Dimash, but it is hard to ignore the orchestra and background vocalists. Just like when he sings All By Myself, and Unforgettable Day on this show. I hope you will watch those two performances soon. I know you are going to go back and listen to this again, you can't help it, and neither can I. When you do, just listen to ALL of the song. Thank you, Alek, for your sincere and honest reaction. Everything you have commented on Dimash is all true. I am a relative new Dear to Dimash. I only discovered him 6 months ago. I have been listening to all kinds of music all my life (61 years), from classical Mozart and Beethoven, to Pop music like Beatles, Modana, MJ, Celien Dion, Whitney Huston, and many more, and no one, and I mean NO ONE, has ever touched my heart and soul like DImash's voice did. His voice is so pure. It's heavenly. Every song I listen to, is a goosebump and chill inducing experience. You said it. I can listen to his music on repeat, for the rest of my life and I will be perfectly happy. Dimash's voice has the power to comfort me, and bring love and happiness back into my life and given me strength to live on. After Dimash, I don't even have the desire to listen to anyone else. Really. Only Dimash.

If you look at Daybreak in the I am singer competition 2017 with the story behind the scenes you will see a Dimash losting his voice just before the competition and had to go to see a specialist and check what kind of performance he did. Completely stunning. From Québec in Canada.

Adagio was the 6th performance of The Singer competition in China in 2017. A really beautiful song❤️. A song that Lara Fabian (a Belgian-Canadian singer) has already sung and also written the lyrics for. Dimash has always been a great admirer of Lara. But Dimash takes this song to another level. Every time, I see this performance I forget to breathe. The emotions that Dimash sends out with this performance literally hit me physically every time🤯. And you can see that I’m not the only one. And even makes jury members cry. This is so emotional because he literally sang for survival as he was almost voted out on the last episode on Uptown Funk. That's why he had to give everything at Adagio. I love his outfit with his blue suit and white shoes. If you watch several videos of him, you will see that he often falls on his knees during many of his performances. So a Dear gave him knee pads as a gift. I don’t think he wore them on stage though. Although he has certainly gotten one or two bruises😂. What I love about the Chinese competitors is that they don’t behave like competitors. Everyone wishes everyone luck. Everyone watches the other’s performance. Clap, sing along. In my opinion, no one begrudges the success of another. They might not have taken Dimash seriously at first, but that quickly changed after SOS. Through ist honest, cheerful and open nature, he found friends very quickly. Contacts that still exist today. Especially to Terry Lin. That’s the guy with the glasses. Just for fun, Terry adopted Dimash and Dimash named him Papa Lin. Do not be fooled. Terry is older than he looks. He was 50 years old then. They performed together on stage and sang Dimash’s song Unforgettable Day together. They visit each other when they can and send each other birthday greetings. I don’t think there are copyright issues, because the videos on this channel are already edited and there are English subtitles. I think you will appreciate the Bastau version even more if you’ve seen The Singer version before. This song tells a very sad but true story. You really have to watch this with subtitles. It’s really important to know what the song is about. You really have to know why he sings the way he sings. In the Singer version he was so sick and had a severe sore throat and fever. He lost his voice the night before his performance of Daybreak. I heard him say in an interview that it was very painful throughout the song, that his throat feels like shredded glass but he didn’t want to disappoint the people who stand behind him and so he pulled himself together and went on stage. He got 5 injections from this doctor in the hospital. And the doctor told him not to sing high notes. You can see how concerned the other competitors were and they suffered with him. They knew he was not doing well and one of them even gave him a very expensive Chinese medicine from his own inventory. The problem was his busy schedule between the performances and he didn’t have enough time to recover. After the performance he lost his voice again. It’s unbelievable how he always manages to convey emotions to such a degree. Though I think in this one particular version the emotions he shows are mostly concern about his voice keeping up with the song and the pain he must have been in doing it. The Bastau version (no sore throat) of Daybreak is phenomenal and mind-blowing. So emotional and heartbreaking. Maybe you can do both together. Many reactors do and so you can see the difference between this two performances. He had a concertbin New York where he woke up with a 40 degree temperature but did the concert. You can see him looking up a lot in one direction, probably bc his family was there Also in another version of Stranger, in China, on Youku he was sick. I read in the comments from a Dear that he had surgery right after thst for Sinusitis. He never quits. Thank you for your great reaction. Cheers b L
