I totally understand skipping cervical checks. But my experience was very unusual. First baby, 10 days before due date, experiencing braxton hicks that were totally painless. I went to my regular weekly doctor's appointment and he did a cervical check. Much to my shock I was "in labor" and was 6 centimeters dilated ("you need to go to the hospital this second"). My 1st baby was born less than 2 hours later, a completely unmedicated birth. It was a beautiful birth. (But I was a little worried about my second birth.) I'm excited about this miracle you are experiencing. Thank you so much for sharing it.

@Martha how was your second delivery? Had a similar experience w my first one, I went to the dr bc my water broke and I was 5cm dilated already and 2 hours later he was out and no epidural as well, 9.6 pounds, currently pregant and beyond scared about my second baby🫣

@@CaitlynNeier @Alitzel Jaramillo My second baby's birth was a little bit of a concern for me. I asked the doctors "how will I know?". They gave me a number of tips. One was "look for any sign of blood, even just a little" . My second birth was fast but I got to the hospital in time (and my baby Ben was born).

Oh Bless your sweet Heart. Sciatic pain is awful. Hope it goes away and stays away. My Blood pressure was almost always high when I to my Dr. and then it would go right back down. My Dr told me either it's from just walking into the office after riding in the car or anxiety. I don't know. I'm still guessing that Baby Boy will be born this Sunday the 23. But your full term so we shall see. Best of luck whenever little Baby decides to make his Grand Debut. I can't wait to see his sweet little face. Take Care sweetie. You are so cute! Haven’t watched for quite awhile and loving how pregnant you are! Sounds weird but it’s true. Also, I got sciatic pain with my second and I still get it (baby boy is 15 months old) 😩 it’s one of the worst pains ever! I use a massage gun thing on it and it helps a lot. If it’s not already, I would highly suggest putting a prenatal massage on your to do list before baby comes! Also get a pedicure if you haven’t gotten one already lol tell them to really massage your feet and legs. I went into labor the next day doing this 😂

I was admitted two days ago. This time I’m here to stay until C-Section that I’m scheduled for at 37 weeks gestation on November 1st (currently 35 Wks one day😳) but we’ll see!

I was so hoping that baby Ben would make his arrival today, on my birthday! Sigh! Having a Halloween birthday would be cool but I understand why you wouldn't want that in your case so fingers crossed that it won't happen on that day! I feel for you with the Sciatic pain, which l get off & on (not pregnant either) & it's brutal! Nope, I didn't get that joke either, ha! We had some rain of late too but now it's back in the 80's. Foam rolling was my best friend with that sciatic pain! I did it multiple times a day and it did help.

Look up “purple line dilation” it’s something my my midwife taught us when we weren’t wanting to do cervical checks but I wants an idea of how dilated I was.

Wishing you comfort and hoping Ben comes before Halloween for you! I am 36 weeks and 5 days and had my first cervical check yesterday. Super surprised that I was already 2cm dilated! Im technically due 11/12 but doctors think they’re gonna induce me by 39 weeks if baby boy doesn’t just come on his own due to blood pressure as well.

I have that same pain in the butt cheek area and it goes into my leg. I use the roll-on Bio Freeze. Ask your doctor if it’s safe for you to use. It does help me

Using a tennis ball to push on sciatic pain helps relieve the pain. You stand against a wall with the tennis ball and pause where there is most pain and breathe through it. You don’t move it to another spot until the pain subsides. The first time I did this I cried from the pain but it does get better.

Thought I keep u posted! Lost my mucus plug Monday but with blood 🩸, they confirmed I ruptured, so I had my baby vbac style 🙏 on the 18th!!! So no more nov 2nd due date haha! I hope all goes well for you, I can’t wait for you to meet your baby Ben! I’m in love with my Luke so much! I got a 3 year old, it’s been hard! I think it’s good scarlet is a little older, it will be less stressful for you ❤️😘 (also I work as a dental hygienist and we take BP on everyone before treating them, we call it white coat syndrome, do you get nervous before your doctor visits? Or maybe it’s the driving before! we never go by the first one, we wait and take it again!)
