Hey looking for some advice on this exact pier. I plan on using a 6000 penn battle 3 with 300 yards of 50 pound braid and 100 pound mono leader with long cast Xrap and 7 foot rod. Should I use that or use my 4000 fierce 4 with 200 yards of 30 pound braid and 8 foot rod? Looking for any advice I can get or modifications I should apply thank you.

Hey Bryan. Both setups will work. I enjoy going as light as i can get away with. I would drop the mono. I recommend braid to small black swivel to 2-3 feet of 7 strand 20 or 30 lbs wire, tied to another swivel, then split ring, and then Xrap. You will get really good action with this setup. For the knot, check out a “figure 8” knot for 7 strand wire. Super simple and surprisingly strong. Good luck out there brother 🤙

Hi if I catch a fish can I clean it there or how do I do that? Can I pay someone to clean it. Can I cook it near by?

@@marianomruiz Hello! Yes, there are filet stations all over the pier. Unfortunately, there isn’t a service that filets your fish. That’s a good idea though. There’s also a restaurant at the beginning of the pier called Anglers that will cook it for you. But you have to filet it first.
