It's interesting what colours they chose to represent each of the Cutie Marks- I would've thought Sunny would have the darker pink, Hitch having the orange, purple for Izzy, blue or more teal for Zipp, and lighter pink for Pipp. Unless this is based on the Elements of Harmony, which has me think a Misty would be red and represent loyality.

Everything aside, I’m kinda loving the uncanny valley effect from her human-like appearance 🤣 everything about the wings (minus the charms) is seriously reminding me of the Crystal Princess Palace Twilight!

yeah opaline has polypropylene hair , it's the worser feeling hair quality like a lot of later my little pony releases along with a lot of the tails this generation & in the doll community the hair is notorious for how horribly the hair disintegrates over time , like within ten to fifteen years

I’m actually very disappointed too. When I heard Hasbro was releasing an Opaline toy I was so excited. I was eager to buy her when she was released. When I saw she was a fashion style, and not a very good one at that. I was very disappointed. Hasbro, I would really like to see a set of both Opaline and Misty in the 3 inch, action figure style. Just like that Amazon exclusive set. That would be something I would buy.

The velcro came off some of those charms for me as well, I thought that as just an outliner! 🤣 I agree that the hair quality wasn’t as good as on other G5 figures, like Singing Star Pipp to give an example from my own collection. I’m just glad that we finally got a figure of her, after all this time of her being featured in the show. I also feel the same about Misty, how come it took so long for them to release toys of new Best Pony?! Anyway, great review!

I've never liked the reviews but I got her because I found her at Target and I felt like it was a now or never. I did a modification that I'd like to share that I thought made her so much better. I tore off the velcro and I switched the wings so the detailed side is showing just like the other ponies. Flaps the same looks so much better and sharper and I also took a small weight pen and beveled her horn because I thought that was silly. The rest have their horns beveled and spiraled why not her except I am very happy that it was curved. Because for some reason there's different versions of her words not curved. Sincerely this generation is very confusing and not as much fun but I do like the characters and toys.

It’s not as bad as I was expecting. I kinda like some do the detailing. Props to the People trying to do hair right (visually), but doesn’t help with her Enormous 4head, oh lord have mercy😂. Doesn’t help anyways that her design isn’t that good to Beginn with. But at least her eye shadowing at least doesn’t look too weird. But yeah, as you said, quality should of been better

I think Hasbro could have made a Better Toy to have Opaline Arcana. I think they could have made a Opaline Arcana Castle Play Set. I do have this Wing Surprise Opaline Figure. And I think it is good for what it is.

Opaline is the most ugliest g5 toy I’ve ever seen,and as a artist her color palette doesn’t appeal.

It's pink, white, and green. I understand that not everyone will like that color palette, but it's been done before on other ponies, albeit in different shades. Although I admit I'm not the biggest fan of fuschia.

@@bezoticallyyours83 Its not that the colors are bad its how they were put together, like take minty she has green and pink. that's an example of using the colors correct. on opaline it doesn't look well, granted those colors compliment each other but it needs to be done right. opalines pink coat is way too bright and her mane, at least on mintys it didn't look appalling.

@@Heavilune Pink body with green and white hair can be done nicely enough. Berries n Cherries, Wave Runner, Cloud Dreamer, and faded Steamer are good examples. But like I said, its all a matter of personal preference. I haven't seen her ip. Since to my knowledge, she's an Amazon exclusive. And sometimes you get a toy that looks better or worse in hand.

I'm honestly very disappointed with G5 in general. The movie was alright, but the series didn't live up to it at all and most of the toys look very ugly and cheap. And it's even sadder to remember all those great Mane 6 redesigns that were scrapped in favor of this.
