Okaparikokapari Vayyaramai- Annamacharya Keerthana

This composition among Annamacharya's prolific numbers is a gem. Lord Venkateswara and his consort Mangadevi slaunter along side by side exuding grace so difficult to describe. Mangadevi sprinkles on her lord the amorous camphor dust which spills over all around and looks like a rainbow. When the Lord teams up with his moon faced beloved, the pair conjures up moonshine. The bejewelled, dark handsome Lord indulges in love sport with his radiant partner and together they look like a cloud laced with lightning. And what a breath taking image the poet made use of!
