I'm surprised that you didn't mention that the jigger on the lid is inaccurate. When I wrote the company about this on product launch, they claimed that it was an industry issue and that jiggers differ by up to 10%. Any professional bartender can tell you this is a lie. I have six jiggers from six different manufacturers in my home and all are accurate -- you can pour liquid from one to next to next to etc and see they're all the same. Not the Elevated jigger. I emailed them the other day to ask if they'd fixed this issue and now they're lying and saying that the jigger is and always has been accurate. Two completely different claims from the same support team. Vladfix, why don't you make a video comparing your jiggers to theirs and let us see? I mean, I assume this is why your cocktail was about to overflow before you cut away at kzbin.info/www/bejne/gILGl4xqas-AhJI Outside of this major issue, it's a pretty good shaker. Would I recommend it to people? No, certainly not until they fix the measurements.
@Vladflix3 жыл бұрын
This made me SO curious to try and compare it now with my standard measuring glass. I will try it ASAP 🙏 When I did a cocktails comparison test, I haven’t noticed any difference But yes, I didn’t do the comparison test since I didn’t think that the shaker measuring part could be inaccurate
@vlvr3 жыл бұрын
@@Vladflix Don't you think that's why your glass overflowed in the video? I assume you've made that cocktail many times and it's supposed to come right up to the rim, right? This is why the Elevated Craft shaker is not suitable for professional situations. Bars would be giving more alcohol than people are paying for and some of their glasses would be rendered useless.

I was in the early wave of investors and I’ve had my shaker for way over a year. I gave away my other shakers. It’s vacuum insulated, makes up to 4 cocktails at a time and it holds chilled cocktails for hours with minimal dilution. We bring 4 martinis (two rounds) to the deck in the middle of summer and the 2nd round holds ice cold for hours with imperceptible dilution. It holds 750 ml so you can haul a chilled bottle of your favorite spirit with you. It’s an investment but well worth it.
@Vladflix3 жыл бұрын
I didn't even realize that it's that good! Hold ice cold for hours outside!? Thanks for your input
@Spoooookie3 жыл бұрын
I got it when it was first launched on Kickstarter. 100% agree with you that it feels strange in that it doesn’t get cold to the touch while shaking, but if one knows how long to shake (as you called out), that is actually an advantage. For me, the biggest advantage of the Craft shaker is that you can shake 2-3 cocktails in one go and the insulation mostly prevents over-dilution - you can top up/replenish your drink over a short/reasonable span of time. My only gripe is that the screw on action is squeaky and not as smooth as one would want. I don’t think it’s pricey compared to many/most Japanese cobbler shakers but then they look way nicer. I’d love to see a polished steel version of the Craft Shaker.

I personally don't love it. I like the shape of it and the fact it's insulated, but I HATE the fact that it's a screw on. Cobbler's are already slower than Boston shakers to begin with. It would be even slower with this. The only advantage I see from a screw top is making egg white drinks. Also, I seen other videos where it strains slower than some other brands. Love the video as always!
