This was my first GD concert at the tender age of 17! Me and my friend Tom took a bus from upstate and sat behind the stage. We bought tickets from our Ticketron about three weeks after they went on sale for $9.00 each (this was about to change radically a few years later as I saw more shows). Still sounds great!

Heard a couple of songs from this show (for the first time) on the Grateful Dead channel - via Sirius XM satellite radio today. David Lemieux hosted this "special", as he played some of the tracks from the new "Dave's Picks #39"...the next night after the show featured here is 4/26/83 - the new 'Dave's Picks'. The tracks he played from this show (4/25, the night before) were absolutely brilliant!! Lastly, Lemieux included the post Drums/Space from this night too as a bonus. I was here and remember this show because it was the night I seen the stage fad away along with the music, I looked around to see if anybody else was having the same trip and seems that I was the only one, I got scared for a minute until the stage slowly regained its size again with the music with it! After looking at the setlist it had to be during Terrapin Station. It's also the same night my friend got too high and left the show to wait for us in the parking lot, I guess her heard satisfaction for the encore and got pissed because he thought he missed the Rolling Stones. It's amazing the small things you can remember 38 years ago. I was 18 years old still a senior in H.S. and remember parts like it was yesterday.

Okie, your the man! Another killer from the old Spectrum in Philly. It was a wonderful place to see them play in and the band would usually deliver the goods in spades. Keep these wonderful shows coming, brother!! We definitely the Dead vibe 😂 now!!

Don't know how it happened...pretty sure this was my first show...google says it was my second show...got tossed out of my first show so I guess this reall is my first show...in a way...

@Tom L I lived like 40 minutes from the rectum, took the high speed line (now called PATCO, I believe) to subway. ..market st.?. ..broad st. don't remember so all my first shows were at the Spectrum...tower theater, mann music center, Veterans stadium...saw a lot of great bands...so wasted mostly that I don't remember much... drank grain alcohol with a security guard at the Who and never did get in...almost got arrested!
