The main thing is why market it under a Japanese name? This scooter is clearly a Chinese import that is just assembled here, branding it as a Japanese product is deceptive itself. There are clearly quality compromise in every part, I would be afraid to buy it without a good guarantee on the motor and motor controller. I whole heartedly support EVs infact the ice vehicles I own will be my last, but these kind of products will only have negative influence on peoples perspective of EVs.

I think Okinawa heard your feedback. I bought Prise (lead acid) a month back, drove 199 km in single full charge (eco) and plugged in the charger when it was giving 19kmph as top speed. For everyday, i drive in speed ( sport!!!) mode and and plug in chager after every 110 km as afer 110 km, it does not reach 60kmph. I am 75 kg, only me onboard it gives 45kmph in Eco, 63kmph in speed and 83kmph in turbo. Im 5'11", yes footboard is high but long enough that i streach my legs towards front boot. To keep trip record, every time i full charge, take a photo and whatsapp my wife. Thats fair enough for me as I used to spend more than 4000 a month on ola/uber for my daily commute to office, now its not even 100 rs per month for the same. Thanks for highlighting the issues what okinawa heard.

Hey Saurabh... we just call it like it is man. It's not a completely unlikeable electric scooter, but there are some massive deal breakers which really can't be overlooked. As for empty Pune roads... it meant getting up at 4:30am and starting to shoot as soon as the sun was up :)

Everything was a negative point, but toleratable. Yet that handle bar wobbling was not acceptable at all....

The real world range is actually decent and the performance is also fairly acceptable for an urban scooter. What was a major difficulty was the heavy kerb weight. As for the wobble, we thought it was a one off problem, so we checked tyre pressures multiple times and even wheel balancing. Even then, it was happening at pretty much any speed, leading us to believe that this is an issue with the steering geometry and low set heavy batteries.

Right on the spot. Cleared many doubts about this scooter. But the one motoroctane took to khardungla paas has removable battery Which can be removed and then charged anywhere and they claimed it's range about 90-100 kms in sport mode. Is that scooter different from this one?

Buddy I have ridden this particular scooter. . It easily gave me a speed of 72kmph. Moreover if the company claims a distance of 170 kms under economy and turbo mode, while you claim it to be less than half of what the company is claiming then you need get your facts right.

honestly not so i have been using it since 2weeks and all those thing that you had described are fully wrong 1- the speed was not that you had showed 2- its goes 185 km on eco mode which i had tried i bought this from other district and went directly over 185km on eco 3- it goes 45-48 km/hr on eco mode 4- on sport mode its goes upto - 64-66 km/hr with a backup of 130km with piliwon 5- with use of 5x turbo it goes upto 110km with pilwon YOU GUYS HAVE JUST INSULATED THE (PRAISE) I HAD IT SINCE 2 WEEKS HOW WORTH IT IS I KNOW VERY WELL you were just right at the one point that was foot rest and that pilwon rester that was set at back can also be removed ok OVERALL MAIN THING IS THAT I DON'T NEED FUEL FOR 150-170 KM IT IS MUCH BETTER THAN OF HONDA ACTIVA IN MANY CASES LIKE COMFORT ROAD STABILITY

oh i wasn't knownig that actual driving which was from patna district to munger on google map it was 192 km from the shop to my home that i set a destination on map to my home and it took me 6hr hr along with 2 break of (30min &15 min). perhaps i are wrong at many point . it's shameful paid reviews ASK THE REAL OWNER WHO OWNS THIS . NOT THAT WHO TOOK IT FOR 30MIN AND REVIEWED . my daily running is approx 96km . before okinawa praise . I was covering the same distance from apache

One most important is changing the driving habit and get the maximum benifit of regenerative breaking ( for known slow down, in stead of wait for last 5 feet, apply the break slowly and get slow down in 10 miter)

Okinawa claims 200km range and in practice, you end up getting ~70kms. on the other hand A450, ARAI certified at 107, yet company claims only around 75kms! ather is genuine enough for me!!

Thanks for very unbiased and honest review, unlike some other reviews which don't get tired while praising this Praise. It's clearly a Chinese import only assembled in india contrary to whatever claims made by manufacturer (reminding us cheap, low quality Chinese mobiles claiming to be made in India in early years) I was considering buying this scooter but after seeing this review, have changed plans and will rather wait for some Vespa, Suzuki, Honda or Bajaj electric scooter.

Which GPS module did you use to check the road speeds? I hope you compared them with a professional GPS module like Trimble GeoXH or even a humble Garmin Map60CSx and not your everyday iPhone... Phones are not very accurate GPS receivers you know :D

I did a test ride on praise. Soundless and smooth with strong design. On eco speedometer 42 ( was easy pickup) On sporty speedometer 62-63 (in short distance again easy). Though On turbo there was not that much boost but that's ok for city ride since not planning to use in dirt/track race. Only draw back is that 6 battery pack with just one year guarantee and each battery cost 3000. With regular and charge use it will go for 1 year thats bit off bit and costly option will wait for lithium or go with other brand. I'm not sure about range that okinawa claims 170-200kms range. But this is the only reason I liked okinawa praise.

Hi Rohan, the most we left the scooter parked was about one and a half days. Otherwise over a two week period, it was being ridden every morning and every evening, along with a few days spent just testing the range till the batteries ran dry, multiple times. Even if there was any loss of charge when it was kept standing, we wouldn't know as the battery meter on our test scooter kept showing full till it completely ran out of juice.
