Impressed with the effort to put antirollbacks on a coaster with no station, no multiple trains, and no buffers. Rollbacks probably would not even be dangerous on this and he still went ahead and installed antirollbacks anyway.
@RollerCoasterEngineer2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the comment! Yes ARB is especially useful for multiple carts/trains. For me, it was about safety if the lift chain stopped, disengaged, or had problems. If there was no ARB, I would be reluctant to bail out of the cart because it could suddenly and violently roll back down the lift toward me or as I was exiting. Also hazardous to anyone near the track if the cart were to unexpectedly roll back. The cart is quite heavy and a strike from it would be serious.

The big chain is used for anti rollback, in case power gets cut out or the other chain snaps so you don't roll backwards down the lift hill.
@KriKri_3 жыл бұрын
@@bandmfanboy Yes, but on lot of big woodies, big chain moves and there are anti rollback rails at small chain position. Though this train is much lighter so it doesnt have to use big chain to pull up the train, but using big chain for anti rollbacks are quite funny lol
@RollerCoasterEngineer3 жыл бұрын
When you think about fabrication, it was way easier to find used large roller chain rather than fabricating and cutting a sawtooth pattern in steel for the entire lift. Had to use a big chain so the ratchet would reliably catch between the chain rollers.
