Hasn't been patched up the way it needs to be!? BV has probably the oldest roster in 15 year at OU, 3 consecutive top 10 classes, and excellent recruiting in the portal. We have numbers at every position, and our best positions are the skill positions on offense, and LB, DE, and DB on defense. What's not to love about this team!? Take the over on the Vegas odds folks.

OU will probably have the best defense in the SEC with the most returning starters, apart from that they got their o-line that they feel good about not to mention OU will probably have the best wide receiver group in the nation with Anderson, Anthony, Gibson, Farooq, Pettaway and the transfer from Purdue.

I suspect the hardest thing about the SEC is competitive depth !! Time will tell and OU fans are excited to be an SEC team ! OU has a great history of beating the second best team in the SEC, like Auburn, Alabama, Florida and others in the sugar bowl !! like 4 and 0 !!!! Stoops was not in Awe of the SEC as he was a DC at Florida with Shiny Pants !!! I don’t much care for any predictions !!! You always have to play the game and our history shows that we can beat ourselves playing just about any team !!! I remember the Army game !!! That was a freaking nightmare !! They simply didn’t know how to give up !!! Go Army !!! much respect !! I remember that even after a gut wrenching loss, Army cleaned their locker room, probably better than OU’s staff Routinely does🎉 ????

The Oline will be better than last years looking at the guys theyve got coming in, better OC, qb has higher ceiling, wrs are returning alot of production that were young last year. 8/11 coming back on defense… The qb and OC were both at ou last year itll be a smoother transition than people think

SEC IS TOP HEAVY!! Bama and LSU has just as much or even more question as Oklahoma… And as an Arkansan/Ou fan that Arkansas/Oklahoma would end up being just as big as OU Texas… Arkansas boarders a lot further south than just Fayetteville and Okc..

Tramel there’s questions at OL but OU would’ve kept Gabriel if we weren’t confident in Arnold. WR group may the best in the SEC, TE will be better, RB room will be better. Bill B needs to get the OL ready and looking at early reports he is.

This guy doesn't know thing. Next year OU and TX don't switch schedules they play the same teams as this year but switch who's home vs away. Everyone seems to forget we beat TX last year. It's going to be hard there are questions about the O-line and QB but our JA has a much higher ceiling then DG. There will be adjustments of course but fans are excited and yes our schedule is like the tip 3 hardest of all of college ball according to all the lists

The competition is so much better in the SEC. Obviously the players are better. And then there is just the intensity level. The Big 12 is like MLS. The SEC is like the Premier League. OU is going to have to play all out in every game or they will not do well. Let's not compare going to Lubbock to going to Baton Rouge. It's not just that Texas Tech has average players, it's also the fact that the intensity of the games is several levels higher. The novelty will wear off very quickly.

I feel like thats been a negative just as much as a positive for OU. Notoriously play down to their competition and don’t get up for letdown spots. The intensity should actually improve the level of play by OU especially w guys like BV and Scmidtty on staff.

​@ajrankin1302 yes, but I really believe that OU is very well aware that over time they will lose more games. There is no way to avoid that. Not unless they become like Alabama or Georgia and I am very skeptical that they will be able to do that. How about instead of 12-2 seasons they start going 9-4 on average over a decade? Is that good enough for OU fans? No, it will not be. They will not like the SEC much once they start losing more games than they are used to.

​@@ajrankin1302they can go to 10 plus wins every year if they achieve Alabama status but that is likely impossible because they just can't build a defense that is good enough for that. I seriously doubt that BV will achieve that. They should just stick to having a great offense and rise with that at best they will have an OK defense over time. As we have also seen in the SEC, a team can have a run and even win National Championships and then fall back into a hole for a long time (Auburn and Florida obviously) and even LSU has fallen way off from where they were in 2019. I know the mentality of OU fans and while very young people may be OK with 9-3 on average the establishment will not be.

Truth hurts. Football AD and HC for life Bob put OU in the SEC. We know he makes all the decisions. NIL, Stoops Legacy Program, got a statue, etc. A real legend. Won one title in 1999. Not really champ u anymore. Big 12 titles are an old story now. Riley didn't want to go to the SEC, but Bob did. If the odds makers are correct, old Lincoln might be smarter than you think. Get used to regularly losing games and not even contending for a national title. BV lost 3 of the last 6 games and nearly lost to UCF and BY. Another Jimbo fisher, too focused on the defense. Those star recruits will start sniffing around as the Stoops brothers all end up right next to each other in the SEC rankings in the middle of the pack.
