I thought OkSt looked really bad against Ark and it took Ark giving that game away for them to pull it out. I especially think the OkSt defense is really bad this season.

For me the game hangs on the matchup between the okstate offense vs the Utah defense. Okstate’s defense is statistically terrible and they have lost their best defender for the year plus a starting LB. On paper Utah should be able to do what they want offensively. For Okstate to hang around in this one they will have to get Ollie going (which they have yet to do) and Bowman will have to open up the field with his arm (which he has struggled to do against talented and capable defenses, which Utah is and then some). If Okstate can’t get into a rhythm offensively this one could get out of hands quickly. I think Okstate will get some sort of offense going, but not in time to catch the Utes. Utah 42 OSU 24

OK, lets see . . . Rising has played one full game against an FCS team and half a game against cellar dweller Baylor. We really don't know how he is going to look this year, in a full, 4-quarter game, against a ranked Big 12 powerhouse. Bowman has played well against the top FCS team, a stout SEC team and against a weak FBS team. I would say, objectively, the Cowboys have the advantage at QB. Ute fans seem to be living vicariously, 2-years in the past, by looking in the rearview mirror at Rising. The Cowboys aerial attack, including the O-line, is one of the best it has ever been under Gundy (and Bowman is probably not even our best QB) If Utah stacks the box to try and neutralize Gordon, they are liable to get lit up with a receiving room that is four deep with plenty of proven depth. I think Utah will have to depend on the run to control the clock and keep the Cowboys offense off the field and score on chunk aerial plays to keep up. Utah fans are going to be disappointed when reality sets in, late in the 4th quarter, thinking if not outright admitting . . . "this truck-stop conference is going to be tougher than we thought.
