Oklahoma the musical ran for 5 years & beauty and the beast ran for 13 years on broadway, April 18th 1994 beauty and the beast debut in New York City. I'm a fan of Walt Disney & western style musicals.

Warren G. Wanker: There are better recordings. The soundtrack is fabulous even if Gloria Grahame as Ado Annie is easily bettered. For the best, check out Celeste Holm on the Decca Broadway Cast recording. It is s beautiful performance; she comes alive before your ears!!
