Michigan has to find a way to stop their leads from slipping away, they dominated that game...

I agree in the prior loss to Arkansas and almost loss to Iowa. But honestly, this game was different. Worst officiated game I’ve seen the last decade. The refs constantly kept OU in the game with phantom calls against Fears (especially the outrageous flop at the end on that 3). And the flagrant that was not. Every time OU needed points to keep within striking distance the refs would call a foul against Michigan as Fears wasn’t touched on the way to the hoop. Michigan dominated the game, OU got so many phantom calls to keep them in this. Should’ve been an easy W based on how Michigan dominated OU. Don’t like the last play fall for Michigan to shoot a 3 no, but it should’ve been a double digit lead for them easy.

Oklahoma shot 90 percent from 3 for 10 minutes to end the game, perimeter defense was awful
@Chris-gx9yt7 күн бұрын
@ perimeter defense was the same on both teams, pretty standard. Sometimes they fall and sometimes they don’t. If Michigan had just the same number fall tonight as OU did (which they are usually a relatively good shooting team) then they would have had a 24 point lead (yes, you read that correctly. OU made 12 3’s and only 4 fell for Michigan.)

Poor officiating in the last 20 seconds, taints the game.

Pretty weak calls by the refs to give Oklahoma the advantage. They appeared to miss a couple that would've favored michigan. But to oklahomas credit they also shot the 3 ball really well.

Michigan is clearly running out of gas in the 2nd half. They weren't closing up space on the 3 point shooters late in the game. Plus, Tschetter and Walters are liabilities. We need better performances out of the subs.

Michigan had more free throws, and less fouls called on them. Anyone watching could tell these refs were Michigan based. So a flop at the end resulting in a no call, is a GREAT no call.

He definitely gets the Oscar for flopping. Can’t stand players like this. He’s a great player, but disrespects the game by doing this. He really only deserved about 4-5 free throw attempts. Not the triple the amount of that which he was given.

Foul on the 3 one of worst calls ever. I am sooo sick of refs without the perfect angle calling those touch fouls where it just “seems” likely to be a foul. THAT said .. When will players learn(it’s like Jonathan Taylor last weekend releasing ball at 1 yard line…how many frickin times does it have to happen until they learn)that if you have to close out on someone because you were not guarding close in the first place …to just NOT do that close out move that almost always gets called. The players may mostly do it right, but the refs always call it. Makes for frustrating endings caused by ref’s somewhat ridiculous decision.
@pjreed457 күн бұрын
Maybe don’t foul on it. These are things you learn in rec league at age 7 lol. + refs favored Michigan ALL game. This is how sports go my guy.
@DaShap7 күн бұрын
Maybe don’t foul. DUH. In this case, he didn’t and in many cases player can be seen in the replay flying by in front and NOT touching the shooter.
@pjreed457 күн бұрын
@ dude put the video at half speed and watch again. He CLEARLY smacks the shooting arm and elbow of Fears during the shot attempt. That is a great shot and a great foul call. Michigan defender 100% is getting told by his coach he needs to play that way smarter next time.
@jasonrhodes70477 күн бұрын
It was 100% a call that gets made because the defender didn't let him land clean. I don't really agree with it but those are the rules.
@DaShap7 күн бұрын
@@jasonrhodes7047 didn't even need to slow it down to see he had full space to land, not even an issue. And the shooter did his part by acting. The hand on elbow touch was the foul call and he probably didn't even contact him. My main gripe is that the Ref was not on the angle to see hand/elbow. They always just assume a foul and why can't ONE of them EVER be in a good position to see NO contact on a close out. It's every stinking time. And most replays show the defender flying by the guy 8-10 inches from touching shooter.
