Son I am 72 years old only heard bits of "Shake it off". Never listened to a Taylor Swift song in my life. I appreciate you taking the time to react to this song and allowing me the opportunity to hear a full song by her. And I liked it so will see if there are other songs I may like as well. She seems like a nice person.

Some songs you may love Innocent the song she wrote for Kanye West ''Margery'' ''Clean'' ''Forever winter'' a song she wrote about her friend who died from suicide. ''Timeless'' for her Grandparents ''Ronan'' a song she donates every cent to research into childhood cancer. If you only listen to her pop singles you are really missing out on some incredible music.

This is one of my favorite songs of hers. Sometimes it’s hard to remember what others are going through and how heavy life can get. She brings a lot of positivity and a lot of her music. ❤️🫶

Luv to you and your brother. I think Taylor would be very happy to know that her art helped. That’s the magic she has, the gift to craft words that bring understanding & empathy to issues and emotions. She makes so many people worldwide feel seen and brings healing with her beautiful voice and music. This is what makes an artist iconic and timeless, they make us feel. Loved your reaction.

❤ For Me, it's my youngest child who not only almost didn't get the chance to live. He's 19.5yrs old now and has medical issues and doesnt even realize that he has struggles. He has known nothing different. So I guess ever day, it's really us, his family who are trying. He must think this is the way the world is and this is how everyone lives.

Praying for your brothers recovery!!!! My brother in law had a severe brain injury from accident and almost died. On life support and all. He had to learn to do everything again same as your brother. Except he had to learn with only one arm and the brain injury. My sister and him has been to hell and back. Thankfully he is doing pretty good now. But he still has to try everyday!!!! Kindness should be shown to everyone because you never know what they are going through.

I’m so glad your brother has you. 💜 I had a medical adventure at the end of 2021 that left me having to relearn how to walk and move my body. The battle of that alone is rough but then our brains are kicking us while we are down and really is a daily battle that we have to choose to fight. Unicorn phoenix is what I call myself and others like me that are fighting that fight. We rise from our ashes to sparkle and shine again. Birds with broken wings often help each other fly and we as people should do that more. 💜💜💜

Thank you for sharing your and your brother's story. As someone who suffers from debilitating depression I know how hard it can be on loved ones. The best thing you can do for your brother is keep letting him know you love him and let him know he can talk/vent to you without judgment. Please don't say try harder, people have it worse than you, that type of crap. Loved ones want to fix/cure the person but you can't. Don't put that pressure on yourself. He knows you can't fix/cure him. No one can understand what severe depression feels like. Everyone gets depressed so they think it is the same thing. It absolutely it not. Most people don't understand, so don't feel bad. 🙏 for your whole family. I know it is tough for all of you. 🫶

I couldn't have said it better. I was diagnosed with severe depression many years ago, and I could go on and on about how debilitating it is, all the different ways its affected me and my life, but that would be a novel. 🥴 One thing I plan on doing and have been putting off is getting a psych evaluation to see if maybe there's something else that I may have. I've always been scared to get an evaluation. I don't like the term "crazy." It literally DRIVES me crazy and I'm like f*ck it then. That's what you think I am, here ya go. That's one quick way to set me OFF. And what people don't realize is ALLLLLL the sh*t you went through to end up with mental health issues. People are SO QUICK to judge. I have felt misunderstood my entire life, and I still feel that way. Honestly, I'm just tired of being treated like sh*t. "How DARE they?" I have already battled MYSELF daily since I was 5 years old, and these people who are so quick to judge don't realize how FORTUNATE they are to not have been put through every form of abuse at age 4 and to have been able to grow up a normal child. I can GUARANTEE they'd be "crazy" too. Instead of judging, TRY to understand just a little. Give us a chance because you will find that those of us who are broken actually have the biggest hearts because we know what it's like to be put through HELL. I have so much love in my heart that I've never been able to express and I can't wait to find that one man who DESERVES my love. When I have children, that is when the rest of my healing will begin. They're going to get 30 years of love that I was never able to give or receive. My inner child will finally be at peace. It will be worth the 34 years of HELL I've been through thus far. 🥰🥰🥰

Best wishes for your brother. I'm very sorry he's going through that. I feel like it's right that all of us have something--even if it's just an everyday thing--we're dealing with and that's what oddly unites us all and makes us feel like the odd man out.

So glad you lift your brother up everyday. He is blessed to have you in his life to let him know he matters. We don’t know what people struggle with and everyone (myself included) need to be told or shown we matter. We rarely let people see the real us and we all wear masks bc life is hard struggles are real some worse than others but they all matter. Thank you
