This one is about the fact that their [his] father and stepfather had alcohol problems, which they (the kids) were obviously aware of. So in trying to clean up by the father figures or whatever, the son/stepson ended up coming into alcohol anyway, and they are despairing that they are going the same way. It's actually a sad song.

It'a about alcoholism. That's why the beer in the freezer gives him chills. Also talks about how he got it from his dad etc. It's an emotional song if you have a family with a history of alcoholism.
