Sorry for the “wind whips” btw. My hands are too close to the mics 😭

Impressive test, display & performance... I've been blown away by the Koshi and the Cajon with brushes... I could feel the brushes moving closer to the mics in my ears. Was curious about those MK 012 as I was searching a dealer for buying a MK 319.... Now, thanks to or because of you ;) I'm considering to get myself those 012 instead... They seems so versatile.. Any way, Thank You.

What handpan is this and how many notes does it have? I really like the sound of this one!
@GeorgeGain6 Жыл бұрын

Perfect - the Koshi really demo'd these mics - no issues. Really considering a pair.

Are these using the omni or mic cardioid pattern capsule? Just trying to understand the placement/arrangement. I understand cardioid is usually both at 90 degrees to each other with the capsul on the same vertical axis.

seems good. What about your recording chain: what capsules, recorder at what gain level, post treatment, ... ? I've got a "Koshi", and it does not have this huge bass tone. Have do you obtain this sound, proximity effect?

you sound great . I want to do a piano collaboration. ha. the mics sounds good, but is the hiss from the mics?

is the Kobyz the same instrument the 'Mongolian throat singer' uses?
@GeorgeGain68 жыл бұрын
I guess yes. It can be named differently depending on size but it is very similar.

Thanks for this test. Do you connect your recorder to the dslr??
@skakdosmer5 жыл бұрын
I think not. The hand claps were clearly for synchronizing sound and video later.

Dear George, track on 02:47 is your own composition? I'm so curious about hearing it again...
@GeorgeGain64 жыл бұрын
Hi! It is just some random playing here. Kurd scale on handpan is my favourite and it is easy to make cool melodies on the fly.

Also, what are playing with your left foot with thy cajon?
@GeorgeGain67 жыл бұрын
Don't remember how they are called =) A bunch of seeds of some african tree i believe.
@evangangstad55377 жыл бұрын
That's pretty neat. I really love this video by the way. (also, I meant to say "the" not "thy". I'm not one of those kids who thinks they sound cool using archaic language)
