Oktopus Kite 18m

Am Wochenende war es endlich soweit... mein Neuer Octopus kam zum 1.mal an den Himmel... etwas später folgte noch der Neue Oki von KiteXing… beide sind ca. 3,5 x 18m lang.

Hello, I prefer slightly thicker lines to reel in the kite... a 120kg / 260lb is sufficient.

Both are nice kites, but if I had to choose one it would be the black body kite. It would compliment my Trilobite-16 kite as a side by side companion!

What line KG/ LBS are you using for that 8 meter Octopus?

Hello, for an 8m octopus a 25kg line should be sufficient, but I use stronger lines because when the line is retrieved, it is easier to hold and the risk of injury is not so great... the yellow octopus is 18m long and I leave it with one 120kg line fly, but only because the line is easier to hold...

The kite was flown in Germany near Hamburg and the wind was very weak, around the 1-2 BFT
