Abu Garcia story was featured in Tight Lines magazine years back. Pronounce, - gar - c - ia. Good quality reels, & 🤑 ,! So glad to see you now have a longer 13ft rod, you will enjoy it too,! ... That was a big barbel, I know about them being a pest in night fishing, ... I put my hook traces, "rigs" in seal packets, suitable for me. 🎣

They are great little fighters. Ryno was pretty stoked with catching that barbel, most fisherman see it as a pest, but he was impressed with his big catch😅 Yes, I also used to put my rigs in small jiffy bags but now Martin and Uncle Klasie have spoiled me with the new fancy items, I've already made a few rigs with them and they ready in my tackle box😄 thanks for the absolutely beautiful comments as always and thanks for still watching Crazy For Fishing SA 🎣🎣😉

It was given to me as a gift, I was supposed to put it together but unfortunately the small plastic pin shot out my hand and I was not able to locate it. So I still haven't had a chance to fish with it🎣🎣

🎣 looking at the Abu Garcia reel spool, I see the line is wound around the spool three times, which is the Best method to put line on any spool, as the line won't slip if it goes down to that,! ... Next tie your knot, sliding it down onto the spool, by pulling it from side to side as you do so,! That way, the pressure is Evenly distributed on the line as the knot is being pulled tight,! If the line is thin, can double it, then tie the knot. I have seen spools with inferior knots tied onto the spools, a little pressure and the line popped off,! I have replaced line on some new reels that had an inferior spool knot tied on,! With a wide spool like an Alvey side cast centre pin reel, the line Must be pulled from side to side as the knot is being pulled down and tightened. I found this out from experience as when I just pulled the line down, the line pressure was more on one side of the spool and the knot popped off,! This is with the use of nylon or mono lines. 🎣

🎣 we see in some of your videos what seems to be the right side of the bay extending seawards. Also on the left, looks like a mountain on the shore, in the distance. Those places usually have deep water around the front areas. They should be suitable to fish from when conditions are suitable, !?! 🎣

Well, it depends on what you are targeting, but 16kg should be suitable for surf fishing. Thickness also makes a difference, I prefer a thinner braid when surf fishing. Gives me more distance, but it also depends on the brand and reel. 🎣🎣
