A "Blender Made Easy" tutorial to understand the universe of Blender. Tutorial is tutorial but here is I had a chance to experience something else... For sometime ago I installed a Mac OSX Monterey (Hackintosh) to my PC as a second operating system and what I saw is made me exciting. Two different system on the same hardware but the render result is shocking. I have a Ryzen 5 1600x cpu and a RX 580 graphic card and on Windows 11 with Blender 3.1.2 I can't use my gpu for rendering. When I first installed the Monterey and Blender was the first software to try and saw that in thesystem settings I have a CPU and GPU render option is active. Metal Render for Macs. On Windows 11 I had to render with my cpu but on Monterey I could render with my gpu!!! On Windows it was about 6-7 minutes for per frame and on Moterey it is less than a minute! 😯🔥✌️
Yeah for 400 frames I waited like 4 hours but if I wanted to render on Windows this duration will be more and more... I am really happy to have Monterey now more than ever. And it really makes me confused cause I can use my gpu on Monterey and on Windows version Blender does not have that support. Hope we can see some developments about it soon on Windows side.
