Yeah, while Gibson was certainly my “aspirational” brand as a kid (and I still love and play the used LP I got back in the day), and they new “1984” models look fun … USD 2.5k!? While I’m now an old dude who _could_ afford that without bankrupting myself, why would I? I mean I could get a new Solar V-style with a Floyd Rose for less than half of that 😎 (assuming I could find either in the country in which I live! 😅).

Per the all black Gibsons, main metal guitar is a Gothic LP. Swapped in SD Sentient/Pegasus set, 50's wiring harness (585 VIP pots, Sprague PIO Caps) . Next: Stainless steel frets, Tusq nut and a Plek job....and then it will be "right".... As much as I love my Gibsons, you always have to hot rod them....
