I have this guitar and love it, but i have one problem with it. The bridge pickup has very high noise level. I don't think it's normal. The neck pickup is silent. The signal is good from the bridge pickup, it sounds like an active humbucker, but it hums like a single coil. Do you experience something like that? You talk about the noise too, but for me it's only the bridge really

Most higher end korean guitas like this one are fucking great....they hold up to thr American guitars feel and tone wise. The American ones will be better in minor fit and finish ways but not tgat effcts the feel or tone. 100% would gig with it over my American ones
@gregbygreg3 жыл бұрын
Basically there is a difference in the wood of the body: while the korean ones use basswood with an ash top, the american ones have a whole body in ash. On the american ones, the frets are in stainless steel, and the gauge of the strings is .011-.060, versus the.010-.046 on koreans. Other than that, only minor differences in construction and finish, like quartersawn maple necks on americans. Sonically there must be a certain difference, but I don't think it's something huge...

I remember back when Schecter released the Loomis signatures. I was super into Nevermore but had only been playing for around 4 or 5 years and I was not used to the baseball bat like neck of an early days modern 7 string. Might try a solar soon though. I hear they're pretty good.
@coffinfeeder77323 жыл бұрын
I heard some people also had trouble with upper fret access because the cutaway was kinda weird. I even saw one guy route it out even deeper like a Dinky ha. I believe the revamped JL-7 made the neck thinner and improved the cutaway, I’d definitely be interested in trying that one over the old 2007 version.
@Jopeymessmusic3 жыл бұрын
@@coffinfeeder7732 Yeah I heard about the refinements done on subsequent versions. I'd assume that early into the 7 string production cycle, certain things had to be worked out/on to get it to a comfortable level. Because although totally taken for granted these days, back in 06/07 there weren't many production models of 7 strings. The JL-7 still pops up on reverb occasionally for a fairly decent price. I'd recommend a refined version to anyone wanting to try out 7 strings tbh.
