I have watched loads of mixed media altered projects. This by far is my favourite. The colours, the journal, the clock that actually tells the time, the cheesecloth with structure medium, the fact that you explained that after gelling and gluing the base it was then time to glue and gesso the main focal elements (I learnt from that too), you highlighted to edges with gold, you didn't gesso the back cover but used waxes directly. Fantastic video. I will be purchasing mediums and waxes with my very next wages. You have inspired me. Thank you.

Why didn’t you use 3-d matte gel for the chipboard pieces? I never have used 3-d gel because I feel it won’t work for everything. I used another company ‘s glue that promised, “it holds everything”. But my project fell apart. Not a happy crafty camper. So I don’t want a repeat of that disaster. Would the 3-d gel work for everything?? And does it really hold heavy and light pieces. Appreciate your help. Your book is GORGEOUS!!!!

If you looking for really strong adhesive for mixed media projects, you should use Extra Heavy Matte Gel by Golden. Now I can tell this, because I not design anymore for any company :)

Ola Khomenok I’ve been using Super Heavy Matte Gel by Liquitex. So far no issues with holding whatever I put it to.

Thank you! These waxes do dry after a while. And after drying they permanent. But anyway an item like notebook or box, which you going to use, better to seal.

Hello fellow crafter, I just recently made my very first mixed medium wood box and I'm finding now that it's completely finished and dried, that when closed, the lid sticks.... any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Also; am I supposed to wait until my texture paste is dry b4 removing the stencil, cause my project keeps coming out like it's smudged, which makes the writing stencils not legible? Thank you
