ever thought of harder genres like ansome plays? I think you'd smash it :p Great work however! And what a beautiful combo of equipment! Keep up the good work, love it! The last minutes are mindblowing... Really wtf

thanks mate! recently i've been playing with the idea of recording a rougher set for youtube. when playing live with a crowd there are sometimes harder/rougher moments than on my youtube vids . cuz i try to read the crowd like a DJ and play what gets them going.

just keep doing this and idd maybe a bit more industrial-darkroom bit harder but do what u like most ;) this stuff right here is gold too!
@jetpacksnake97413 жыл бұрын
It’s not a bad idea...maybe not Schranz but harder stuff where the kick reverb rumbles through a modulated filter etc , more mechanical machine sounds etc.

some good stuff here, very well done - would also like to see you publish short highlights from your jams, my attention span is not so good sometimes 😅

Well done!. Do you maybe have a modulargrid link for your setup? Cant see whats happening because of all the noodles :D
@OLANGALACTICA5 жыл бұрын
hi! here's a link to my modular grid. Some older configurations are now online. For now I keep the newest ones private but gonna put them online soon. www.modulargrid.net/e/users/view/49480

Which module(s) are you generating your kicks from? And bass?
@OLANGALACTICA3 жыл бұрын
kicks: hexinverter bd9 and mst bass drum. bass: varies a lot. but often i use braids through mst filter!

Would love to know how you're doing the thing around 7:45 where the "clanks" are out of sync and then suddenly they're in sync with the kicks.
@OLANGALACTICA5 жыл бұрын
hi. they're actually just in the 16th offs. so still in the grid. I just switch the pattern to a less syncopated one. But it takes a bit more explanation to see the relationship on what I do and what you hear: With this liveset I recorded only the right side of my modular output (by accident).The MI Rings sends the clanks alternating to L/R . So the pattern was actually a 1111111111111111 and you just hear every second 16th which are the offs. then you can see me switch to 0111011101110111 and you hear how the pattern changes.

@@OLANGALACTICA Guess this was a "happy accident" because it sounded great! I've watched this performance over and over and I pick up a new tip or technique every time. Really enjoyed it!

@@OLANGALACTICA what are you using for kicks? some of them sound almost layered with subbass.
@OLANGALACTICA5 жыл бұрын
yep! it‘s the hexinverter bd9
@tomburnell76745 жыл бұрын
@@OLANGALACTICA hm nice, my mutant bassdrum isn't really doing it for me. Been debating jomox 09 or sampler but maybe bd9 would be good.

It's nice set - how much of the sounds/patterns do you have planned up front? how much is improv?
