The new Olantern Stretch is Olight's third version of the lantern light. This is probably their best but the price is still an issue. Nonetheless, I can still see a use case.

I’ve got a self built Promaster converted van. Own an Olight stretch. Plastic not glass. Biggest battery by far. Allows me to use no electricity at night for a week without a charge

The bigger bronze-y one I have the mini version. Or something similar. Its like you cut off the base. It can produce yellow and white light. As well as be recharged. I quite like it.

Olight stretch has 4 batteries.. 21700's I believe. It is metal.. the orig "Pro'' polishes with 0000 steel wool to a polished brass which tarnishes fast ( have to re polish often). It has a clear coat with a brush effect that wears off eventually using 0000. I use the "Pro" every single night, low warm last about 7-8 days.. the newer stretch has a longer duration battery. EDIT... worth the price! the other 2 lights are nice, thx for sharing!

Not looking for a camping lamp, but the Olantern would be a great high capacity alternative for an at home power down scenario. Pricey but who cares when the grid is down. Thanks!

It depends on the use case. The Olight is better as part of your emergency kit while also being good for car camping. If you are backpacking though, I would probably go with the Fenix.

The telescope feature on the Olight, to me, screams that it'll break at some point. No thank you

I love the look of the Olantern, if it was a bit more compact it would be a definite cop.

Sofirn BLF LT1 blows these lanterns out of the water. No other lantern that I have seen yet have come close to the value and features on that lantern.

I saw that one, it has the smallest battery out of all of these. But what special features does it have maybe I need to check it out?

@@MarineX It has candle light, lighting storms, SOS, soft lighting (2700K), white lighting (5000K), 800 lumens, 4* 3000mAh batteries, two and an aluminum shell. The only thing is heavier than the Fenix.

@@PittiesAndMore And it can run from any combination of one to four of those batteries. I have a Sofirn BLF LT1 sitting on my desk. To make full use of the interface can be confusing, but crib sheets will fit in the battery compartment. LOL. However, if you get confused, no real problem. Just turn it on, it will work. Since it has four batteries and is well built out of aluminum and heavy plastic diffuser, it does weigh more. It is also tougher and more water resistant. Mine won't act as a powerbank, but later models will. I consider it my best lantern out of the several I have. I keep at least one other lantern around that will work on rechargeable AA batteries, just in case. The Olight Prowess will probably become an interesting alternative.

The Olantern seems to be trying too hard to look like a traditional lantern but just looks like a lot of unnecessary bulk to me. Fenix wins in my book. I also like the compact Wuben.
