Today I rinsed my hair. Used 3, shampooed with 4, used the mask 8 and rinsed. 6 and 7 to style no other products and my coarse thick curly hair was butter soft and easy to detangle. I absolutely LOVE 8 and will used again.

Great video Abbey! This is what is confusing about Olaplex No. 3 - so many people refer to it as a 'pre-shampoo treatment,' but yet the company itself recommends to put it on 'after' you shampoo. Also, my advice for application of these products is to just apply them after you get out of the shower. Do some things around the house and then rinse them out. Ten minutes in the shower is a long time! Thanks again.

If you ever do, you should do the full Olaplex routine 0-8. I did it this week and the damage and dryness were just about non-existent. I used everything but their conditioner since I had their mask.
@NativeNYerChicHK
@NativeNYerChicHK 3 жыл бұрын
@@jakebeauchamp3com YES!!! 👏👏👏❤️ Since #8 came out, and after experimenting a little bit with it on its own, this is now the only way I’ll use it!!! Using #0 thru #8 in succession the way they recommend, really does optimize the patented proprietary benefits!!! But I do double/triple the time to leave it in than is recommended by the manufacturer, with a disposable cap on with each product to keep them moist longer because if you let it dry the active ingredient stops working. And I add heat for half of the time each product is in my hair, my theory is that it’ll help open the cuticle more or faster in order ensure it’s penetrating into the hair strand deeper and for longer. So this is my Olaplex routine: #0 with cap on for 10 minutes under heat, then another 10 minutes without heat to cool down. But I do wet my roots with water, as virgin hair isn’t damaged and so I don’t want to waste #0 on that particular area. I rather use it smarter and sparingly, this isn’t cheap stuff! I target my application on the actual damage in my hair. Then I add #3 w/cap on for 20 minutes under heat, 20 minutes w/o heat to cool down. This again I concentrate on mids to ends as that’s where the bulk of my damage is and only the tiniest bit gets on the roots when I comb it through to make sure there is even distribution. Wash & condition with #4&#5 as directed. Then #8 cap on, under heat for 15 minutes, 15 w/o heat to cool down. Once again mids to ends and again the tiniest bit gets on the roots with a comb through to ensure even distribution. Rinse thoroughly with cool water and style with #6&#7. DONE!! My hair feels healthier than it has in YEARS!!! Thicker, fuller and so much stronger, that’s what Olaplex has done for me!!! It’s really amazing stuff. Magical sorcery!!! 🥰♥️

I prefer no. 3 only because it's easier to use, as I put it one and them do other stuff like watch TV or cook my dinner. While with No.8 you have to just stand there in the shower for 10 mins... this seems ok if you are a bath person but as a shower person, 10 mins feels awfully long when you are just standing there wet in the shower.

Thank you so much for this; I plan to purchase at least one of these when my "organic" hair masks run out (great concept but weak effectiveness). I loved your video! This video, and the other one were so helpful on how to use the products. It also helped me decide which products to buy first. I just bought No 3 and No 8. I will be rinsing No3 out in a few minutes and applying No 8 after that! I am looking forward to seeing a change in my hair. I am a healthcare worker who works in one of the hospitals in my city. Since the COVID pandemic, I have felt like I needed to wash my hair daily so that I didn't risk getting sick. I feel that the daily washing has helped me stay healthy but it has taken a toll on my hair, causing it to become dry and brittle with a fair amount of breakage. Again, thank you very much for the video, it was very informative. I look forward to trying out No 0 next once I see how No 3 (and No 8) impacts my hair.

I thought no 3 was for before shampooing? Lol. I do no 0 for 10 mins, don't rinse and put no 3 for around 20 mins. Then rinse shampoo, I put no 5 conditioner on the top of my hair and no 8 on the bottom for 10 mins, then rinse and towel dry, then some no 6 and a bit of no 7. Isn't that what the instructions indicate? 🤷‍♀️

Great review as always! Well done. I did put it on my list not long after first watch this review. I already use the 3, 6,7. I like it for the strength but like less for visible results. K18 on the other hand. I bleached my naturally curly hair a year and a bit ago. tried a ton of products along with olaplaex trio, but it wasn't until I recently got the k18 and my girls are better than ever. Bounce, shine, volume. Thrilled. I have gone without olaplaex for 1 month and no difference, but 3 months, huge difference so continued to use and will continue to use alternating with the k18. Pricewise, the same. You need a good mask with olaplaex, but no mask needed with k18. Tmrw I will be trying loaplex 8 mask. Excited. Have you tried the curl smith bond? Some (Manes by Mel) say its another version?

Sooo where does No.0 fit in with that? It has to be on dry hair. So they’re saying, wash hair with No.4, skip No.5 if planning to use No.8. Dry your clean hair to then use No.0 followed by No.3 as that one has to be on damp hair 🤯 I’ve been using their whole range for 3-4 weeks now. I was having CRAZY amounts of breakage and noticed in my 2nd week my hair felt thicker and stronger, and noticed this last week I have next to no breakage when brushing my hair (I am seriously overdue a haircut too though!) If anyone’s interested, my routine is as follows (I keep the products on ONLY for the time specified on their bottles), Start with dry hair. Use No.0. Use No.3 on top without washing first. Use their shampoo TWICE. Rinse thoroughly before using the conditioner. Rinse thoroughly again. Use No.8. When that’s washed off I use my Aquis towel to get excess water out before adding No.6 with a few drops of their oil. Additional tips I’ve added in this time thanks to Abbey are: 1. Water filter in my shower because I have VERY hard water in my area. 2. Use and Aquis turban. 3. Use a tangle teaser wet brush. 4. Try washing less. I usually wash every 5-7 days

Upon getting home and researching more I was very confused as to why #3 wasn't even used... I don't know. Maybe since the goal was to limit frizz...? But I found it odd that there wasn't even a mention of #3. They sold me on #4 and #8, along with #6 which they said I could use in stead of #5 as a leave in conditioner... Anyway, I don't know. I might pick up #0 and #3... I feel like my hair is a bit damaged... I didn't know better and for most of my life I was showering and shampooing daily... only stopped that in the last couple months. Hello! I'm new to your channel and really enjoy your videos. After watching the one about protein overload I suspect that this is my case (not 100% sure yet but my hair looks like protein overloaded). I just ordered Olaplex 3 and 8 without checking the ingredients list ant now in this video i see that No 8 has some amino acids in. Should I skip it for the moment and leave it for the time when my hair is fixed? I saw that the amino acids are not on the top of the ingredients list but still I'm wondering what should I do. What are your recommendations? I have bleached damaged hair which I couldn't repair so far - may be because no matter what I use and how expensive it is, it is always full of proteins and until 3 days ago I had no idea there is something called "protein overload". Thank you!

Then I saw you protein overload video and realized it’s what I have. So now I’m on no protein products hoping I can get rid of this soon. How long did it take you? And after that how long until you went back to leave in products or masks that contain protein??

I would love to try Olaplex 3 and 8 but their pricing is ridiculously unfair. 100 ml for hair care is nothing. I do have products of similar price range and more expensive, but I’m getting at lest 200-250 ml of product. I hope they will review size of their products in the future.

The prices are really high and I cringe every time I buy a new bottle, but it really does make a huge difference in my hair. I use no 3 once a month and I usually get 9 or 10 uses out of the tiny bottle.

@@jenniferpearmain9557 I have lots of products from Kerastase, I also love Lanza and have a few of their products. Those are also pricy but at least I don’t feel robbed. My hair is long, almost reaches my butt. And I’m a tall girl. This 100 ml of number 3 will last max 2 hair washes. 28$ for using product two times is insane. I don’t even think I’ll see any difference after two applications. I don’t say they have to offer us 1 liter of product for 28$, but it could be at least 200 ml.

Just love your hair reviews especially. You spell everything out. Very informative. I have been using Olaplex3 for quite awhile. I just started incorporating 0 with it and do like that. I just used the 8 mask today but no 0 and 3 before. I used the 4 shampoo and just 8 for 10 min. It was really nice and definitely feels like an Olaplex product on my hair. Very smooth and hydrated. I also used a minimal amount of Pureology Fanatic and then # 7 oil. I think it’s a winner.❤️

Hey Abbey I had a question, So it is known that Olaplex No 0 is a primer for No 3. How then would you add it too this routine? Is it simply, shampoo, rinse, use No 0, Use No 3, rinse after 10min, then use No 8, rinse after 10min?

So silicone is the 2nd after water on the inc list of Olaplex 8. wow. no thank you. I love number 3 and I have the impression that it works as long as the hair is moist. I sometimes wash hair, then apply no 3 and put plastic bag on my head and sleep in it. SO can someone tell me does this really stop working after 45 minutes?!!

Do you use purple shampoo? I don't use purple shampoo as my main shampoo so what I do is wash my hair with purple shampoo the night before an actual wash (1-2x a week). Where would this fit in? Should I purple shampoo then No.3, then No. 8 the night before a wash? Or would No. 8 go after my morning shampoo? I am so confused :)
