Great video Abbey! This is what is confusing about Olaplex No. 3 - so many people refer to it as a 'pre-shampoo treatment,' but yet the company itself recommends to put it on 'after' you shampoo. Also, my advice for application of these products is to just apply them after you get out of the shower. Do some things around the house and then rinse them out. Ten minutes in the shower is a long time! Thanks again.

If you ever do, you should do the full Olaplex routine 0-8. I did it this week and the damage and dryness were just about non-existent. I used everything but their conditioner since I had their mask.
@NativeNYerChicHK3 жыл бұрын
@@jakebeauchamp3com YES!!! 👏👏👏❤️ Since #8 came out, and after experimenting a little bit with it on its own, this is now the only way I’ll use it!!! Using #0 thru #8 in succession the way they recommend, really does optimize the patented proprietary benefits!!! But I do double/triple the time to leave it in than is recommended by the manufacturer, with a disposable cap on with each product to keep them moist longer because if you let it dry the active ingredient stops working. And I add heat for half of the time each product is in my hair, my theory is that it’ll help open the cuticle more or faster in order ensure it’s penetrating into the hair strand deeper and for longer. So this is my Olaplex routine: #0 with cap on for 10 minutes under heat, then another 10 minutes without heat to cool down. But I do wet my roots with water, as virgin hair isn’t damaged and so I don’t want to waste #0 on that particular area. I rather use it smarter and sparingly, this isn’t cheap stuff! I target my application on the actual damage in my hair. Then I add #3 w/cap on for 20 minutes under heat, 20 minutes w/o heat to cool down. This again I concentrate on mids to ends as that’s where the bulk of my damage is and only the tiniest bit gets on the roots when I comb it through to make sure there is even distribution. Wash & condition with #4 as directed. Then #8 cap on, under heat for 15 minutes, 15 w/o heat to cool down. Once again mids to ends and again the tiniest bit gets on the roots with a comb through to ensure even distribution. Rinse thoroughly with cool water and style with #6. DONE!! My hair feels healthier than it has in YEARS!!! Thicker, fuller and so much stronger, that’s what Olaplex has done for me!!! It’s really amazing stuff. Magical sorcery!!! 🥰♥️

I loved your video! This video, and the other one were so helpful on how to use the products. It also helped me decide which products to buy first. I just bought No 3 and No 8. I will be rinsing No3 out in a few minutes and applying No 8 after that! I am looking forward to seeing a change in my hair. I am a healthcare worker who works in one of the hospitals in my city. Since the COVID pandemic, I have felt like I needed to wash my hair daily so that I didn't risk getting sick. I feel that the daily washing has helped me stay healthy but it has taken a toll on my hair, causing it to become dry and brittle with a fair amount of breakage. Again, thank you very much for the video, it was very informative. I look forward to trying out No 0 next once I see how No 3 (and No 8) impacts my hair.

Isn't that what the instructions indicate? 🤷♀️

Bounce, shine, volume. Thrilled. I have gone without olaplaex for 1 month and no difference, but 3 months, huge difference so continued to use and will continue to use alternating with the k18. Pricewise, the same. You need a good mask with olaplaex, but no mask needed with k18. Tmrw I will be trying loaplex 8 mask. Excited. Have you tried the curl smith bond? Sooo where does No.0 fit in with that? It has to be on dry hair. So they’re saying, wash hair with No.4, skip No.5 if planning to use No.8. Dry your clean hair to then use No.0 followed by No.3 as that one has to be on damp hair 🤯 I’ve been using their whole range for 3-4 weeks now. I was having CRAZY amounts of breakage and noticed in my 2nd week my hair felt thicker and stronger, and noticed this last week I have next to no breakage when brushing my hair (I am seriously overdue a haircut too though!) If anyone’s interested, my routine is as follows (I keep the products on ONLY for the time specified on their bottles), Start with dry hair. Use No.0. Use No.3 on top without washing first. Use their shampoo TWICE. Rinse thoroughly before using the conditioner. Rinse thoroughly again. Use No.8. When that’s washed off I use my Aquis towel to get excess water out before adding No.6 with a few drops of their oil. Additional tips I’ve added in this time thanks to Abbey are: 1. Water filter in my shower because I have VERY hard water in my area. 2. Use and Aquis turban. 3. Use a tangle teaser wet brush. 4. Try washing less. I usually wash every 5-7 days

After watching the one about protein overload I suspect that this is my case (not 100% sure yet but my hair looks like protein overloaded). I just ordered Olaplex 3 and 8 without checking the ingredients list ant now in this video i see that No 8 has some amino acids in. Should I skip it for the moment and leave it for the time when my hair is fixed? I saw that the amino acids are not on the top of the ingredients list but still I'm wondering what should I do. What are your recommendations? I have bleached damaged hair which I couldn't repair so far - may be because no matter what I use and how expensive it is, it is always full of proteins and until 3 days ago I had no idea there is something called "protein overload". Dimethcone is also a bad silicone, I’m so confused please help all of these products have silicone that builds up on the hair and cause breakage and dry hair. I’m so upset I just don’t know how to fix my damaged, frizzy fine hair anymore. I was looking into olaplex and ended up getting joico defy damage line. And they also have silicone 😩😩😫😫😫 please help maybe you can do a video on these silicones my hair gets greasy at the roots and frizzy mid shaft to ends I give up every hair product I own has silicone and most have multiple in each 😱

What’s the difference in this than the redken acidic shampoo and conditioner? I noticed you use that too in other videos?I hearing your need a mask if you use no3 or redken one because it will make it drier?

You said that they work best with clean hair. For the number 3. You wash with shampoo then apply number 3 then shampoo again and condition?

So silicone is the 2nd after water on the inc list of Olaplex 8. wow. no thank you. I love number 3 and I have the impression that it works as long as the hair is moist. I sometimes wash hair, then apply no 3 and put plastic bag on my head and sleep in it. SO can someone tell me does this really stop working after 45 minutes?!!

i think as long as your hair remains moist n3 continues to work

Do you use purple shampoo? I don't use purple shampoo as my main shampoo so what I do is wash my hair with purple shampoo the night before an actual wash (1-2x a week). Where would this fit in? Should I purple shampoo then No.3, then No. 8 the night before a wash? Or would No. 8 go after my morning shampoo? I am so confused :)

Can you do a video about lamellar water? Its a new-patent-pending technology by the L'Oréal group. I tried it yesterday in the Elvive 8 sec Wonder Water and it's truly something else!!!

Thank you! I can't remember where I heard it but was told by more than one KZbinr to use both 3 and 8 together. My hair came out fine but what a waste to use them incorrectly.
