OLAPLEX WASH DAY ON FINE NATURAL HAIR - From #0 to #9

Olaplex works for some people but it ruined my fine natural hair. & I'm still trying to fix the damage/get my hair back to health. I don't want to be negative, I just don't want others to experience what I did, because it was devastating. I lost a lot of hair. 😢

Hi i have a few questions... 1. how long ago did you use the products and how often? 2. did you use the products at just someone's recommendation because you wanted to try them or because your hair was actually damage? I ask because I do know that some years ago they changed the formulary and removed an ingredient. Also, i think its important to note that even though they say you can use it every wash day, thats a bit much IMO. I think they are great to use when you need them, not for maintenance

​@@FineNaturalHairandFaith1. I first used the products over a year ago. 2. I was introduced to those products from a salon visit. The hair stylist used them during that visit & recommended them to me to use regularly and gave me instructions. I used the products for about 6 months which was the only change to my routine. My scalp and hair haven't been the same since. I still get length but my scalp and hair cuticles are still damaged/not the same. I wouldn't want anyone to experience what I did & what I'm still dealing with.

@@FinallyFreeandHealing I’m sorry to hear that. The salon products are much stronger too. I don’t know but they get the salon version I’ve had no issues and they really help keep my hair strong when straightening

I've never tried Olaplex but am considering for times I want to silk press. Agree with @finenaturalhairandfaith it's not for everyday use. Also to note, my hair loves protein or anything of the like.

Hey there michelle, you are right our bodies is our Temple so I've been slack in that area as well. Got to get more sleep got to do things with consistency that might be beneficial as we get older. Still a little afraid of that olaplex because of that bad experience I had. Have a good weekend!😊
