@Cooliemasteroz4 жыл бұрын
Hey Danie, I love your work. There’s something that I’ve been meaning to tell you. I have a coolie girl that looks a lot like your boy and she would always ride beside me in my ute on the passenger seat without any problems while she was young. She could anticipate and deal with any hard braking which often happens because of the terrible drivers that you occasionally come across especially here in Sydney . Unfortunately when she got older with arthritis the day came when I had to slam the brakes on and she couldn’t react quickly enough and ended up down in the foot well and seems to have hurt her elbow and neck. That was a couple of years ago now and she hasn’t been able to run ever since. Can you imagine how bad it is for a coolie to not be able to run ? Therefore I have an idea for your next project. Basically all you need to do is make a box minus two sides. One side or should I say end goes against your seat back so that it can be tied to your seat and the other side is at the front so that he can’t end up on the floor. It could be fairly long if you have your seat right back so that he can lay down on long trips, they need to do this when they get older. Then buy a harness for him so that he can be held via loops above the shoulders and then extend the piece against the seat back and attach some sort of loop and/or a pulley so that your safety belt can be guided from above and brought down and attached to his harness. It’s worth doing because a happy healthy and agile coolie like so many things is one of those things you don’t realise what you have until you loose it.

Good job Danie! Use Carbuilders peel n stick heat shield on the underside of the cab for effective heat protection as I've done the floor of my 80 series in sound deadener and some heat still comes through the tunnel so some peel n stick next. The sound deadener does a great job of cutting vibrations and noise of the muddies and engine/gearbox.
