As a general rule I don't care much for painted furniture but your care and attention made it turn out quite nicely. Job well done the look is very nice and the accents addition really helped it. I say 👍.

Very nice work on this piece!! It sure had a lot of deep scratches. Makes you wonder what happened to it. Charlie Boy is such a happy little dog. He always makes me smile. I can't wait for your next video. Your voice is so soothing!

I wonder if it was used for wrapping packages maybe because there were a lot of scratches running in the opposite direction to the grain. Like they had been done with a blade. The veneer was too far gone. Charles loves to be a part of everything I do ha ha! Thank you for your kind comment. See you again soon ❤️

Shame it was so badly scratched so stain was out of the question but the colour choices and the brass inlay made it look fantastic. I am not a paint fan but sometimes the only way to save something is too do that 😊

@@McCluskeyRestorations I am ok a tad stressed right now. Sunderland council are shutting down my son's respite centre leaving myself and 60 other families in crisis all over money as per usual. So we have a save our respite campaign including online petition called Give us a Break. Even been on look north with ITV covering the rally tomorrow too.
