Amen they need to go back to the original Holliness we had. Or at least alternate between the old school way and the new school way, this modern-day way of praise and worship in modern contemporary gospel and Christian music with choirs and praise teams, modern-day Charismatic Christian Rap and Hip Hop, some Churches not even having musicians and using instrumental soundtrack CDs these modern ways just cannot top the good old-fashioned anointed Oneness Baptist Apostolic Style Deacon Lead Devotion., nowadays most churches don't even have deacons at all anymore they have assistant and associate ministers assistant and associate pastors and evangelist, most churches don't even have Bishops they have Moderators. Especially in the Baptist Church is especially in the predominantly black Baptist Churches also right after devotion like that the pastor's would get up there preaching Apostolic Doctrine that was just asked anointed and filled and lad of the Holy Ghost as these non-denominational and COGIC Pentecostals, Full Gospel Pentecostals, Assembly of God Pentecostals and Apostolic Pentecostals, they don't do that no more nowadays a whole lot of these new generation, new school pastors are teaching and preaching trinitarian and charismatic doctrines. Regardless of rather they are anointed or not lead of the spirit or not rather they got their license and ordination and training some other way or went to the Christian College Seminary.

Yes it is a way of life. But the old fashioned style devotion and devotion songs with piano and devotion songs Acupella like in this video with old timey hymns and choruses, that we had before modern praise and worship of contemporary gospel, contemporary Christian music, instrumental soundtrack CDs and Chiors, and instruments and praise teams, charismatic face painted mime Act and stomping praise dancers and charismatic Christian rap, the old fashioned style devotion and devotion songs was anointed of Holliness.

Came across your Doctor Watts. That brought back memories to me too. And tears. Of my father. That was dealing with Alzheimer's. He would sing many songs. That a friend told me to capture the moment. I did. I listen to you til the end. I said...He didn't sing daddy's verse. That he would sing out loud. "IF THE LORD DON'T HELP ME...I CAN'T STAND THE STORM...IF THE LORD DON'T HELP MEEEE...I CAN'T STAND THE STORM'!! My friend said...that's a "War Cry". Well the Lord saw that daddy couldn't stand the storm anymore. As He called my daddy home...January 6,2020. As me,my mother, his wife of 64yrs of marriage,my lil brother. With other family & friends there. I will always cherish the memories I had with my father. Being his only & oldest girl at 63. NO MORE ALZHEIMER'S PAIN OF THE MIND & BODY DADDY!!

People didn't have much back then but our church was always packed. It was a large church n there were three choirs. My dad was lead singer n president of the Senoir Choir (the main choir). Matthew Knowles mom sang with choir number two. It was an amazing service every Sunday! GOD BLESS Y'ALL BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE

I came across this video while scrolling and decided to listen to it. Glad I did. It reminded me of the way church use to be. I'm seventy and I taught my children all of them, even though they heard them at church. When I finished listening to this I was reminded of something I read a few years ago which said you can say what you want to, sing what you please. It's still gonna take the song Amazing Grace to drop a dinner to his knees. And I have found this to be true. When life gets rough as it does at one time or another in many ways the church music of today cannot began to do what the hymns can.
