That came out perfect. I really like Millers Falls tools they seem to be built pretty robust.

Keep your excellent reststoration fresh. I have a brace I'm about to restore but I can't take it completely to bits for nickel plating as I'd prefer to, as the head and crank handles are made of Bakelite and can't be removed. Instead of that, I plan to clean up the brace like you have done, then coat it with Everbrite, so it never rusts again. Once again, what a beautiful restoration you've done on it.

Super job and a very enjoyable and contemplative video. So good to see it working at the end there. I wish all my drill bits were as sharp as that! Cheers mate, stay healthy.

Thanks, Mark! Very much appreciated. That’s a Wood Owl Ultra Smooth Tri-Cut auger. They are very smooth (one might say ultra smooth) but they are 7/16” hex shanked so they don’t fit everything. Thanks for watching, friend. Stay safe!

there is also a parsons brace using permaloid. It is the Miller falls 5010. They are somewhat different and bring big sums. But of note they utilize the improved holdall chuck . I very much enjoyed your video of the Stanley and the Miller Falls braces and chuck differences. I have read that Miller falls made a vast majority of braces ever made and there is a factory video tour of the factory from the early pre war days on youtube.

I’ve seen that factory tour video! It’s amazing! And those Parsons braces are gorgeous. Thanks for watching and for the comment! Sorry for the delayed response.
