I just recently went to one of their concerts and it was by far the best concert i've ever been to. Very energetic, upbeat, and tremendously talented. Agree that they need some more publicity, they are amazing!

This song is pretty much an adaptation of Scottish folk singer's Hamish Imlach's song by the same name. While this is a listenable song, it's just a shame he was never acknowledged.

@jimdoc51 That is partially because blue grass, folk and country originated from old irish, scottish and english folk music. There is similar instruments in both styles of music. Also the evolution of certain playing styles can be tracked.

Any song that is played belongs to one playing it.,but ONLY for the time that they play it...if not why would YOU play,to make someone else happy?Knowing the history is great but taking a song and making it your own is the only reason to play otherwise you are playing for the wrong reason.

@nazairus, Predates bluegrass? Bluegrass came to be bluegrass in the mid 1880's. Prior to that it was called "hillbilly music". Know your facts before spewing sewage about bluegrass facts.
@waldonumbly74907 жыл бұрын
BG started with Bill Monroe and his Bluegrass Boys, (because they were from Kentucky of course.) Earl Scruggs changed the face of banjo with the three finger style as opposed to the old claw-hammer style. Circa 1940s. Charlie Poole did this song mid 1920s.
