"chase after the dream don't chase after the money".......pure gold love this !!
@jeffreyglass59957 жыл бұрын
Jipson 420 it's only cool because you are hearing it on the radio and through a music video lol they do t have to worry about money, so that line is easy to say, I would like to see them singing that when they are sitting in a house with no electricity on, no water, no food and on the verge of being evicted because they just don't have the money, yeah love can't keep the lights on...
@bryanfriedel44507 жыл бұрын
Their say make enough to live off of but the money isn’t supposed to be the main focus

@@jeffreyglass5995 I posted this reply in another thread, but will reply here again, so you might benefit from the insight too. Your dream is YOUR dream. Only YOU can make it come true. Money won't do it for you. With enough determination and hard work, anyone can make their dreams come true. Nobody else will do it for you and more likely they will be critical and try to convince you that your dreams aren't realistic. The point of this lyric is that if you spend your life chasing money, you'll be miserable. If you spend your life working hard to make your dreams into reality, you'll have a great sense of accomplishment and the money will come... Some of the most successful people I know in business, built their company with blood, sweat, and tears, never giving up on their dream because they were passionate about it and wanted to change the world for the better, not because they wanted to make money. 😉

@@jeffreyglass5995 Growing up, I grew up monthly without either electricity, water, gas and or also with out food at times. That's after my father left who was abusive in multiple ways. So living in poverty to me was a piece of cake. And it taught me that there's poverty worse in other places, and others who have life so much worse. Maybe there's lessons you haven't lived or learned. Don't feel too sorry for yourself cuz being in poverty isn't as bad as it seems sometimes as long as you have love. It's all about how you take it, no electricity meant candlelight nights and spending time together. The gas kind of sucks because you had to take a cold shower. Water was the worst to go without. Still not a big enough deal to be bitter about the beauty of this song. You can work hard and create your own life of you don't give up. Count your blessings, don't think about the cup half empty cuz there are people who have it worse think about it half full. Love can't keep the electricity on, but really how much importance do you weigh on electricity to fulfill your happiness? Sucks I know, but it's not enough to low-ball the value of love. Peoplethese days know the price of everything but the value of nothing. Keep your chin up! You don't even know his life, he's probably grown from something. And I hope you find love, and anything you need, because I also know how it feels when your down. This is what helped me at those times.. stay positive ♥️ also all you need is to live yourself enough

This song makes me so happy. Hands down my favorite song. It’s too good to hide it, usually I have to shoot out some random pop song at my anti-country friends but this is just too damn awesome. It just takes me to a crisp, cool night in the fall, with the tendrils of urbanization smell creeping into the fields full of grazing horses. I live in a suburban/rural area (closer to rural but not quite). It just takes me to that place. No matter where I am. “You can’t keep the ground from shaking” is just such a catchy line. 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻

[Verse 1] I wonder if Jack and Diane ever made it After the drums and the guitars all faded Was the best they could do good enough? Or did the heartland just swallow 'em up? How did my mom and my dad ever do it? If there was struggles, then we never knew it I guess they had each other That was enough [Chorus] You know you can't keep the ground from shaking No matter how hard you try You can't keep the sunsets from fading You gotta treat your life like you're jumping off a rope swing Baby cause the whole thing's really just a shot in the dark You gotta love like there's no such thing as a broken heart You gotta love like there's no such thing as a broken heart [Verse 2] What am I gonna tell my kids when they see all of this bullshit that goes down on TV? When the whole world is down on its luck I gotta make sure they keep their chin up Cry when it hurts, laugh when it's funny Chase after the dream, don't chase after the money And know we got each other That's what's up [Chorus] Cause you can't keep the ground from shaking No matter how hard you try You can't keep the sunsets from fading You gotta treat your life like you're jumping off a rope swing Baby cause the whole thing's really just a shot in the dark You gotta love like there's no such thing as a broken heart You gotta love like there's no such thing as a broken heart [Bridge] You gotta love like there's no such thing as a broken heart [Chorus] Cause you can't keep the ground from shaking No matter how hard you try You can't keep the sunsets from fading You gotta treat your life like you're jumping off a rope swing Baby cause the whole thing's really just a shot in the dark You gotta love like there's no such thing as a broken heart You gotta love, love, love, love, love (like there's no such thing) You gotta love, love, love, love, love (as a broken heart) You gotta love like there's no such thing as a broken heart

AwesomeKatelyn00 ; and Stephanie.... I'm pretty certain as huge tears flow down my face that someone took pen to paper about our lives ...about our story... About my story. In the end it's only those of us parenting our special kids that has a clue as to our daily lives.... The 24/7/365 lives.... the parts and some thoughts we keep hidden....while most see our smiles... they have no clue what truly lies behind those smiles... the fear, the commitment, the strength for exactly 1 minute then immediate crash when we can be alone...a run to the restroom to regain composure....the nighttime ... the thoughts that go around in their heads as they see siblings leaving and not quite understanding why the siblings have to leave....not understanding why people have to die...... All the while parents pray to live to be 150 or even more. I shook so bad signing him up for SSI & for a guardianship as I tried my best to hold back tears and not being able to do so Having tissue to tell my boy .. I'm not crying it must be my allergies On my boys 18th birthday we went to SS office to sign up for everything..... and it was ROUGH.... to sit and fill out and sign papers that put everything that has brought you to this dreaded day.... the day you finally get the answer you have asked every professional for 18 years? Is my child retarded, how far will my child go, etc. My sweet sweet boy is now 25 the same as this one Our lives seem to mirror each other. The desire to just run away to anywhere and see the world for a month? A week? Lollllll getting a day of watching Beachside House buying on HGTV is the closest parents like us will ever get to that life May God Bless us & all of the good, loving, selfless special parents as we get through day to day and pray God let's us hang around a long long time. And...I have a huge pride and appreciation for those of us that have wonderful siblings who instead of hating us or their sibling... they become sibling warriors... their lives have and always will pay a price and yet they accept it graciously. they wear that armor that only siblings of special needs children wear... yes we are fortunate but nothing ever changes the ache in our hearts for what could have been? What would life be like ... we will never know. So yes I agree and even though I have 2 very successful daughters who are employed, married, mommy etc it is only natural to want that for all of our children. An example in my life is I knew I would never have "the mom & son" dance because there would never be that occasion or that chance to have a special song and dance with my youngest... my only son...so I had my mother & son dance at his graduation from the School of Bright Promise. I will treasure that dance forever & he remembers that song. You are correct Steph, every parent should read this... not just special needs parents!!
