Очень круто звучит песня! Надеюсь, что будет больше. Люблю англо-саксонскую культуру.

Beautiful!! It's neat to see a performative aspect to the riddles... I'd never thought of them like that! Especially with music! P.S. I like your little addition of in tempore pestilentiae!

hah, thank you! Yes, this poetry was definitely read aloud/performed, and likely also with music! Glad you like it!

She is not English. Why is she appropriating our heritage?
@hannamarti70 Жыл бұрын
people have intermingled and reproduced all over Europe (and the world) for centuries before and since the creation of this song. The Anglo Saxons were not "English" in the sense that you use it. These songs in an Old English language therefore don't belong to any kind of "English heritage" exclusively. And: I do not condone conservative fantasies about a made up concept of "pure national culture".

@leonmartin5933 English culture isn't your private property; it belongs collectively to all of us, and most of us want to share it with the world. When it is shared, wonderful things happen, such as this song.

She is not singing in English either, problem solved…but her singing in old Anglish is awsome.
